  1. Looks like a version of styrene paradise I would be very comfortable in !
  2. In case anyone is interested I have a whole Pintrest album titled " Crosley vehicles" that features some neat photos .There are three Crosleys parked within 100 feet of a road I travel regularly so I really should stop and take some detail photos of those before they're gone. There's a wagon , a convertible and a pickup all in a neat little row.
  3. Having been retired for 8 years I tend to build all year long . I look forward to having warmer weather return so I move some of my stuff out onto the high top table on our deck where there is shade from a huge maple tree,. Those are the most enjoyable building times for me personally. I paint outdoors so the warmer weather will surely be welcome to get some paint on some stuff I fabricated over the winter. I do a lot of scratch building so the fab time is rewarding seeing my designs realized in scale.
  4. A couple easy things I like to add extra details to some of my builds are dirty shop rags made from Kleenex type tissues, saturated with a 50/50 mixture of white glue and water. I shape them while wet,let them dry then paint orange and use black wash to dirty them up before placing them around. Another trick for your floor would be some thinned down acrylic black wash in high floor traffic areas for realistic grime. Looks like you're having fun with this build and that's what it's all about isn't it !
  5. Carb linkage is outstanding my friend. I look forward to seeing this on in person sometime.
  6. Looking very good. Nice panel match work there.I'll be looking to see this completed.
  7. Thanks for posting all of these super photos Howard. I can't walk far enough to enjoy the show anymore so this is like being there in person ! Thanks for sharing.
  8. Have you bothered to let Norm know that one of his products is incorrect ? I'm sure he would adjust his description to whatever is correct.
  9. Nice to know that you seemingly have encyclopedic knowledge of all things mechanical that not all of us have. I personally have had nothing but excellent results with everything I have ever gotten from R&M,but have somewhere little and no mechanical ability at my disposal.Pretty much anything more mechanical than a bra hook or a zipper....I'm yelling for help. I have been building for over 60 years and have always had built according to what I see and not what I know. That seems to have served me pretty well over the years and is not likely to change any time soon.
  10. very nice to possibly see a Willys headed to the street instead of the drag strip. I really like the long bed look and the wheel tubs.I'll be watching.
  11. I can assure you that his stuff is absolutely the best quality available. The parts are unique in that he produces a great line of nostalgia speed eqt parts and other similar parts no available from any other source. The castings are accurate and perfectly to scale.
  12. That's the one I saw. Thanks for posting the source !
  13. I dug around on the net and found a photo of a resin cast two door sedan body and hood so someone is offering one. Anyone know who ??
  14. When I was in high school in the '50's one of my classmates father drove a Crosley wagon as a work car simply because it was small, cheap and got great gas mileage. My classmate Fred used the Crosley engines in race cars. I know of three parked togeather about 30 miles from here and easily visible from the road. I would build some of them simply because they're kind of neat and unique.
  15. Great simple method that be useful to a lot of us.Thanks for sharing.
  16. I saw the real car a few ears ago downstairs at the Detroit auto show it was very original and unique but I must agree I fail to see it's inclusion in the Riddler contention. Just my personal opinion. Should make a very interesting model project and I'll be following along.
  17. This should be interesting to follow. What scale is this ?
  18. You should remember that folks are a lot taller now than when this hearse was in use. In Kentucky at a large horse farm museum there is a display of horse drawn hearses and the older they are the shorter the are in length.
  19. I just wish you would man up and tell us how you really feel about this whole rat rod thing Ed:)

  22. Great model. The roof swap is a natural and very well done. Thanks for sharing.
  23. Great model with real world details as it it would have been built after the great war. A period perfect piece. Thanks for sharing.
  24. looking better with every new post ! The new straps add weight to the top and draw to viewers eye to the roof area thus balancing the design IMO.
  25. Very nice work! This ranks very high on my "Gottcha Factor" scale. Grabs you by the eyeballs and won't let go. Thanks for sharing.
