Nice work on that front end.The fenders and sheet metal are looking very close to what the real cars had. Thanks for sharing. You might want to consider have some bodies cast from this for future projects or other builders to use.
Outstanding originality and attention to details. I believe that JF resin trailer was a solid block of resin wasn't it ? All around top shelf inspiration material. Thanks for sharing.
I just walked past and took a few photos of a current generation Corvette Grand sport. Is all shiny with a white body , blue center stripe and of course the red Grand sport markings. Really is a striking design IMO.
I wasn't concerned about the material being hard to work with as I personally work with resin all the time. I was expressing concern about the complexity if the wiring and hoses that it takes to detail today's modern and very complex engines with all the computers and electronics involved. The transplanting of the Hell Cat engine seems to be a likely progression for the brand. Good luck and thanks for sharing.
Looking like a nice start. Remember that the real Crosleys were only four feet wide. They were made that way so they would fit through the front doors of the retail stores they were originally sold in. Crosley also made refrigerators and radios so the cars were sometimes displayed right next to a fridge. I have some photos I took recently of some real Crosleys near here that I can email to you if you PM me your address. I look forward to watching this build develop.
Thanks for showing us this model. My wife had a '61 sedan when we got married in 1964 that got great mileage, had a leather interior and was an all around great little car.We sold it when we got married and used that $ 400.00 to buy all of our furniture(!).Times have surely changed !
Nicely done. It's a shame more base models of all brands were not kitted as not everyone drove the top of the line models when these cars were new. Thanks for hanging in there on this build and for sharing it with us. You could probably find that missing engine part on the "wanted" forum just for the asking.
I asked a friend of mine once if he had ever built a model just as it was pictured on the box. We both agreed we had not. Every kit we had ever bought was basically raw material. We were and still are looking at what they can become and not what they are.
Inspirational and carefully planned work on every aspect of this restoration. Nice to see this big beautiful car on it's way back to life. Thanks for sharing your procedures and photos with us.
Love the overall look and finish of this. It reminds me of an old race car just having been drug out from behind a barn, hosed off and taken to the beach for some sand in your face fun. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Al. I did find out that the C.A.R.B.S. show is in Fairborn,Ohio on 11/3/18.The contest theme is 'Birds of a feather" for Firebirds,Thunderbnirds,Hawks, etc, etc.
