  1. You could build one with a wide rear end section for a "Kardashian" Cobra
  2. Nice model. If it was black I think it could have passed for a Batmobile.
  3. I am looking for model car shows and contests in Ohio that offer vendor spaces for kits and parts. Any help appreciated.Thanks.
  4. Very ambitious project.Good luck!
  5. I just did a little digging on the forums and found the builder who's using the scrapbook cutter for parts. His name is Eric Ritz, his user name is Impalow and he uses Adobe Illustrator for plotting the things he is making and a Silhoutte cutter to make his parts. I hope this helps.
  6. Look in the on the work bench forums for the wild custom Moebius Comet. This expert builder has Faber dozens of the frame and suspension parts from .020" sheet styrene using one of the cutters mentioned here. For thicker parts he laminates the sheets togeather. I saw this finished car yesterday at the Columbus Classic contest and it's a fantastic build. Check it out and be sure to read the whole story as he spells out exactly how he makes the parts.
  7. Very well done. Even with the extreme number of modifications the overall balance is outstanding with just the right amount of external design elements like shields, thrusters and such to look like it belongs in a SiFi movie. Thanks for taking the time to take and post the excellent photos for us to all enjoy.
  8. Nicely done. Those big cruisers can make great customs in the right hands and you did right by this one for sure.
  9. It's nice(and unusual) to see a stock model T built from any source. This shows a great set of skills knowledge of your subject matter. Congrats on a job well done. Thanks for sharing.
  10. Actually I wish you had made a little more flashy somehow! See you Saturday. The weather channel is calling for a ice so leave early and be careful.
  11. Man I love those big cruisers! Always thought you could string up a ping pong net across the trunk lid of one of those and have a little game.I'll be watching.Thanls for sharing.
  12. I agree. Very realistic finish with believable real world patina.
  13. That makes it even cooler(if possible).
  14. you are doing a great job with all of the mods it took to stretch that body my fiend. If the were any flaws that slick black paint would surely have made them obviuos. Thanks for sharing.
  15. Been watching the weather channel and it looks pretty nasty in the northeast today and tomorrow. Time to hunker down and just get through it. Trust me in six months this will all be gone!
  16. I scratch build trailers as well if you PM me your email address I'll send you some photos of my stuff.I have built a 14' 1934 Airstream Torpedo, a 20 ft.Airfloat Navagator and some teardrops.Currently working on a 20 ft.Curtiss-Wright aerocar circa 1940.
  17. Did you scratch build the windows as well or find them in another source ?
  18. I see a fair number of positive posts about builders wishing someone (anyone actually) would offer a travel trailer kit. Is there a person out there on these forums that has the ability to offer a set of computer generated set of plans that could be used by those with average skills to build their own trailer from scratch ? Now that would be a great service to a lot of builders. All we need is for someone to step up and do it. maybe the pieces could be done on one of the Krick Kut paper crafting machines that are being used to make some really amazing parts seen here recently.
  19. That would be absolutely outstanding. due to a third major surgery on my right knee I can no longer walk well enough to attend a good guys event as in the past plus Karen has been diagnosed with COPD ,congestive heart failure and is now on medical oxygen full time. I think our traveling days are going to be very limited for the for seeable future. I look forward to watching the future posts on the Coupe project after tax season is finally over. Have a great week! Tom
  20. Outstanding scratch built trailer ! Please post photos when finished. Thanks for sharing
  21. You are very right about the rivets being too large. I live in Jackson Center,Ohio where the Airsteam Factory is located so there are a lot of them sitting around their service center building just two blocks from our house. The real trailers have one rivet every inch along every seam which would be very difficult to replicate in most any small scale., About the only viable method would be to use those 3D rivets supplied as water slide decals. Even that would be a huge effort replicating literaly thousands of rivets.
  22. Great planning and panel swapping on that cab.Looks very nice.
  23. Great source of information Ace. Thanks for posting it. I spent some time browsing through some of those vintage factory brochures and couldn't help but think what an excellent source of model building information that can be.
  24. Looks like some truck lover has been watching some of those "tiny house" episodes on HGTV !
