  1. That last photo looks like the custom hood and other parts belonging to an AMT Buick Rivera kit.
  2. Wonderful detail photos. Thanks for sharing.Isn't it great to have forums like these available to find the information we need!
  3. Wonderful detail photos. Thanks for sharing.
  4. Best of luck with your first NNL event. This great tradition started in my garage almost 40 years go and has rewarded us all with lifelong Friendships and put a lot of the pure fun that modeling can be back into the hobby we share.
  5. Thanks for the info..Both are nice builds to be proud of. Have a great fourth of July holiday!
  6. Those rides prove that there's no substitute for having a boat load of money when you decide to build a hot rod.
  7. Very interesting info. More insight available in Tim Boyd' s latest book if you have access to a copy.
  8. Great find anytime and the price makes it even sweeter.
  9. I have one comment about the gun mounts. They appear somewhat long putting the shooter almost standing on the spare tire mount.
  10. Outstanding work. The suspension finishes are spot on. Looking forward to more updates.
  11. Nice work here. In actuallity only about 12 or so of those Frenzel superchargers exist today. I look forward to seeing this one completed. Thanks for sharing.
  12. Please show a photo if possible to show what the problem is so possibly we can offer some suggestion to help. I would assume Craft wood is probably basswood that is readily available at all Hobby Lobby stores. If that basswood does not look like it will work, try looking at the various thicknesses of plywood in the same display area at HL.
  13. Welcome to the forums. Thanks for sharing.
  14. Another positive thing about using the clear acrylic paint is clean up. As clumsy as I am a lot of small parts need to be moved a little or straightened after placement so I can use a dampened Qtip type tool to clean up the smeared paint.
  15. Love it. Large and in charge for sure.
  16. I spent a couple days figuring out how to attach some small trim parts to my current project without using super glue. I normally use the CA for almost everything but these trim pieces are barely 1/16" wide and were going to be attached to a dark burgundy paint job so I needed another solution. I finally settled on using brush-on gloss clear bottle paint as the adhesive. After scraping off the chrome plating I applied a light coat to back side of the trim and carefully set the parts in place with tweezers. Seems to work very well. Just thought you might be able to use this little tip yourself.Good luck.
  17. The only detail I would add here is some fasteners where the wooden cross boards on the pallet where they meet the 4 by 4's.
  18. Looking great. As for a motor choice you might want to consider something unusual like a big diesel unit with turbos, etc,as that seems to be a trend in big rat rodded sedans these days. A low down stance with those massive rear tires would also be some kinda cool. Thanks for sharing.
  19. Amazing realism! Thanks for sharing.
  20. Very unusual. The rear set of duals looks like the extra"tag" axle seen on some modern cement trucks to compensate for heavy loads. Was that axle a driven axle that was connected to the drive line of a. Accessory axle for heavy jobs?
  21. Love the paint. Looks like black as a base color but what did you use for the rust color?
  22. Nice photos as well. A couple could pass as pix of real cars. Thanks for sharing.
  23. Excellent work. Looking very much like the original art work that inspired you. Thanks for sharing.
  24. Beautifully done Chevy. Thanks for sharing.
