  1. Please show us how you "cut the grille off with sewing thread".I have never heard of that being done before.
  2. I like the mismatched fenders and the great paint techniques for fading between colors.Overall a great build.
  3. Please tell us what resin kit you used for this build and where you got it.I had an uncle that delivered bulk fuel in the 1950's with a truck that very similar to that one and would love to build a replica if it. Thanks for your help!
  4. For some exciting news concerning what may soon be available for those of us intrested in light commercial trucks be sure to refer to the "Truck Aftermarket/Resin"forum.In that forum be sure to read"Expressions Of Intrest in New Range of Vintage Trucks".If this caster's plans actually work out he will be offering some really intresting vintage trucks in 1/25 scale kit formwith instructions and refrence photos included. They should fill a huge void in that part of out hobby.
  5. This level of patience and craftsmanship deserves to be recognized and lauded reguardless what the subject is.Amazing!!
  6. Great model.Very well done.A first class job for all of the reasons stated by those who have already commented before I spotted this post.Long...low...black...and best of all it's a Cadillac!!
  7. Looking very interesting!
  8. Nothing like some sweet "T"on a summer day!Really like the stock roadster pick up.
  9. Easy to see why you are pleased with this one.Great gloss on your paint as well.Just goes to prove that great models don't have to take a year to build and have all kinds of photo etched parts on them to be cool.Nice job!
  10. Gene, I live about 20 miles from you.Send me a PM with your email address and maybe we can talk. Are you planning to attend the Rebel Run show at the fairgrounds in September? The show runs from the 18rh thru the 21st.There will be a model car contest on Saturday that be of intrest to you as well as all the cool cars that normally attend. Thanks !
  11. I tried to open those files and got a message telling me that I did not have authorization to do that. Please post them again so those of us without access can also enjoy them. Thanks!
  12. Great model with outstanding gloss to the paint and expertly done BMF.really a model to be proud of!
  13. Always build to suit yourself. All that really matters is that you are pleased with the end result. If someone else doesn't like what you've built that's their problem, not yours.
  14. Nice topless Ford.I really like your color choices as well.I might offer a suggestion on a surface to photograph your models on:I bought a poster board size sheet of light gray colored paper at Hobby Lobby to use as a neutral background for taking pictures.I tape the front edge of it down in the front then curve the back edge up gently (without creasing it)at a 90 degree angle and tape that edge to something. In your case the front edge would be taped to the top of your garbage can lid and back edge would be taped to that wooden fence I see.I use blue painter's tape which doesn't damage the paper.Sitting your model onto the gray paper will eliminate all of the back ground clutter. I use a little($ 79.00) Canon power shot A2300HD camera for all of my photos and they look pretty darn good(IMHO).If you pm me I will send a couple of shots I took of my current work in progress that I took against the gray paper so you can see how they look.
  15. That's a very traditional bumper choice using a ribbed plymouth piece.Looks great(therefore you are forgiven!).Nice work.Look forward to seeing this one completed.
  16. Nice project. Now just drop that roof a few scale inches........
  17. Please be sure to post when your first kits will be avaiable so we can place our orders. You might consider offering some sort of assembly instructions for those not familiar with these vehicles.Possibly some line drawings or refrence photos would suffice for that.
  18. I like the long, low look of this build.Putting these big cars on the ground really makes them look even longer and dropping the roof adds another layer of low-slow street kool to it.
  19. Nice job!Novel idea of turning a kit intended to be built as a gasser into a driver and adding a trailer.
  20. Maybe you should consider offering them as "paid in advance"models that you will only cast after the money is recieved rather than casting them first and waiting for them to sell.
  21. I just tried to access this and it won't open without a password.(I hate passwords!)
  22. This brings to mind a line fom an old Mo Town records hit"Cruisin down the the street in my pink Cadillac".
  23. Bruce, you might be able to tunnel your tail lights by adding some small dia styrene rod around the lip.New red lenses made from the clear sprue that all kits have attaching the window sections togeather then tinted with candy red paint. I built a chopped and sectioned custom Merc about 40 years ago that used the front facia from the Dodge Deora kit and tail light housings from an Olds Cutlass. It has a lift off body and is powered by an ardun flathead motor with a crank driven blower.Paint is white peral. It's still around too. Ain't this fun?!?!
