I bought this kit too the day it came out. I'm disappointed in the decal sheet. I expected some original style 73 decals, and the original style wheels. (dog dish)
I bought my Ramcharger from HobbyTown USA and it was warped. So it's not just hobby lobby. I'm going to try the hot water method before I contact Revell.
Looking good. I have this kit that I started, lost interest in, almost turned it into a drag jeep, then lost interest again. Might have to try and collect all the parts back again and actually turn it into a jeep.
They don't call em death wheels for nothing. One thing I always enjoy is the wires from a wire wheel, whether it's the bench grinder or a die grinder.... you don't immediately know you have one stuck somewhere on your person.... right up until you REALLY find it.
I still haven't worked on my Bronco much. I got my Tom Daniel car done... but I've been working 60+ hours a week for months. I'm tired. I might get it done in time this year......
Yep, no coil springs. The twisting action of the bar is what keeps the suspension loaded. My '04 Ford Ranger 4x4 is the same way. It has torsion bars. I cranked the torsion bar bolts in to bring the front height up to match the back height after I first got it.
I never understood why they had the 50th anniversary stuff on that box.... seems kinda silly... just an excuse to make a box art that sells I guess. Anyway, great looking mustang, looks about like the factory color they came with
Friend of mine had a Plymouth Fury ex cop car of the diplomat body style. Had the 360 in it w/ an adapter on the intake to run a Quadrajet 4 bbl carb. Supposedly that was as installed by Chrysler for the police units.
I use the rattle can stuff, and I actually have to buff on them a little with my fingers and then finish it off with a microfiber cloth and it looks pretty good.
