Last time this thing was on my work bench, it had cragars and slicks on it... but I just wasn't feeling that vibe. It was way too weathered to be a hot rod truck in my opinion. I felt it had another calling in life.
That's when I realized I still had some old decals from the Lindberg '34 Ford truck... so since this truck was green, it needed Sinclair fuel decals. Thus now the backstory to it is that it's a retired service station truck from Rt 66 in the southwest. Years of surface rust but no holes, which fits this thing perfectly.
So here's a few updates for it...
Here it is when I found a set of wheels and tires that were more fitting w/ the new theme
After I applied the Sinclair decals and weathered them.
Weathered my bumpers a little
And was able to weather the bed floor to look like it's been used and abused for years of oil and gas and tires in it.
Hoping to have it done for a club meeting for my local club in January.
