  1. Nice work. I really like the paint scheme on that Chevy II
  2. Nice work. I've been seeing more AMX's pop up. I need to build mine.
  3. I really love that truck. Super cool. Clean and great work
  4. Beautiful work.
  5. Sweet hot rod! And the sophisticated finishes rust solution is THE WAY to go. I use that for everything. My '55 Chevy truck on the work bench right now has liberal amounts of sophisticated finishes on it lol And if I wanted to add a hint of more recent orange rust to it, I dab a little tamiya weathering powder on it! Looks great!
  6. Thanks guys. I'm really inspired to finish this one now. When it had slicks and cragars on it I was just not feeling it at all. But I really like it now. Hoping to get it done really soon but not skimp on detail. I forgot to take pics of the auxiliary fuel tank in the bed and the spare wheel/tire. I have a few details I will be tossing in the bed too, to accompany those parts. It's going to get a New Mexico plate from the late 50's.
  7. Beautiful!!!!!
  8. Last time this thing was on my work bench, it had cragars and slicks on it... but I just wasn't feeling that vibe. It was way too weathered to be a hot rod truck in my opinion. I felt it had another calling in life. That's when I realized I still had some old decals from the Lindberg '34 Ford truck... so since this truck was green, it needed Sinclair fuel decals. Thus now the backstory to it is that it's a retired service station truck from Rt 66 in the southwest. Years of surface rust but no holes, which fits this thing perfectly. So here's a few updates for it... Here it is when I found a set of wheels and tires that were more fitting w/ the new theme After I applied the Sinclair decals and weathered them. Weathered my bumpers a little And was able to weather the bed floor to look like it's been used and abused for years of oil and gas and tires in it. Hoping to have it done for a club meeting for my local club in January.
  9. Thank you Mike. I appreciate that. Just not in the cards this year. I'll definitely finish it. It's gonna be a cool one. Retro 80's color, modern drivetrain and offroad components... I can't not finish it LOL Next year perhaps I'll finish something for the cannonball though. Third times a charm right?
  10. I really like the way this thing is going. A friend of mine built a volksrod one time.... years ago.. chopped it, took 8 fenders and made 4, slammed it, and left it rusty. It was awesome. I'll see if I can dig up a pic...
  11. That MPC Econoline van would be awesome in 1/25!!!
  12. I think I'm going to go ahead and call it.... I'm out. Too much going on this past weekend, went to PRI in Indianapolis, then a swap meet sunday... club meet today after work, office christmas party tomorrow after work... cold and rainy weather... resin engine/transmission hasn't arrived yet. Definitely not going to finish. And another Cannonball down the tube for me. I'll definitely finish this Bronco though at some point. It's too cool not to.
  13. Seems like all the American manufacturers had issues w/ their solid whites in the 90's. I can't tell you how many SN95 Mustangs I saw that the white had literally fallen off of, along w/ Dodge Neons, and the Caravans. And as you said, GM trucks.
  14. Can't wait to see more. Being that this is the first 100% new kit developed under Round2 I'm curious about it.
  15. That's really great looking! I love it!
  16. Great looking builds. I like the wheel and tire changes you did on the Model A fords.
  17. Unless I can paint it this weekend... things aren't looking good for me. Oh, does anyone know a good place to find pictures of current Australian license plates? I have tried to google them but I don't really know what I'm looking for, and descriptions are vague.
  18. If you really have to have it exact, go to your local automotive paint supply shop. Give em the ford number, ask if they can mix it as a lacquer, and put it into a spray can. I do this a lot. You will have a big can and have plenty and it only costs about as much as 2 tamiya cans.
  19. Every one that I've been to lately has plenty of dodge truck/flat trailer/40 fords left... and way too many crown victoria cop cars.... Thought about scooping up several cop cars just in case for something down the road.
  20. The '63 Ford Galaxie kit that I have, has the display disc brake in the kit... it's the "Prestige" kit.
  21. I placed my order 2 days after you... I wonder if my order is coming soon....
  22. download the app... soooo much better than the web browser version.
  23. use google chrome web browser, add the ad-block free extension, and that clears up a lot of trouble with that site.
  24. Yep, I'd expect to start seeing that condition spread. It's about to look like a snake shedding it's skin very soon.
