  1. Thank you Mike. I appreciate that. Just not in the cards this year. I'll definitely finish it. It's gonna be a cool one. Retro 80's color, modern drivetrain and offroad components... I can't not finish it LOL Next year perhaps I'll finish something for the cannonball though. Third times a charm right?
  2. I really like the way this thing is going. A friend of mine built a volksrod one time.... years ago.. chopped it, took 8 fenders and made 4, slammed it, and left it rusty. It was awesome. I'll see if I can dig up a pic...
  3. I think I'm going to go ahead and call it.... I'm out. Too much going on this past weekend, went to PRI in Indianapolis, then a swap meet sunday... club meet today after work, office christmas party tomorrow after work... cold and rainy weather... resin engine/transmission hasn't arrived yet. Definitely not going to finish. And another Cannonball down the tube for me. I'll definitely finish this Bronco though at some point. It's too cool not to.
  4. Seems like all the American manufacturers had issues w/ their solid whites in the 90's. I can't tell you how many SN95 Mustangs I saw that the white had literally fallen off of, along w/ Dodge Neons, and the Caravans. And as you said, GM trucks.
  5. Can't wait to see more. Being that this is the first 100% new kit developed under Round2 I'm curious about it.
  6. That's really great looking! I love it!
  7. Great looking builds. I like the wheel and tire changes you did on the Model A fords.
  8. Unless I can paint it this weekend... things aren't looking good for me. Oh, does anyone know a good place to find pictures of current Australian license plates? I have tried to google them but I don't really know what I'm looking for, and descriptions are vague.
  9. If you really have to have it exact, go to your local automotive paint supply shop. Give em the ford number, ask if they can mix it as a lacquer, and put it into a spray can. I do this a lot. You will have a big can and have plenty and it only costs about as much as 2 tamiya cans.
  10. Every one that I've been to lately has plenty of dodge truck/flat trailer/40 fords left... and way too many crown victoria cop cars.... Thought about scooping up several cop cars just in case for something down the road.
  11. The '63 Ford Galaxie kit that I have, has the display disc brake in the kit... it's the "Prestige" kit.
  12. I placed my order 2 days after you... I wonder if my order is coming soon....
  13. download the app... soooo much better than the web browser version.
  14. use google chrome web browser, add the ad-block free extension, and that clears up a lot of trouble with that site.
  15. Yep, I'd expect to start seeing that condition spread. It's about to look like a snake shedding it's skin very soon.
  16. It's not actually water, unless of course it rained or you washed it... but the issue you are having is called "de-lamination" And is quite common in paint jobs of certain periods. It's also common of lower quality brand clear coat. Could have been caused by a number of factors even if a good clear was used. Such as bad prep, or waiting too long to clear coat the car. What happens is the clearcoat loses its adhesion ability and then lifts off in flakes.
  17. I'm definitely in for this one. Can't wait. Dunno when I'll build it, but I want a few thats for sure.
  18. I only buy the kits that speak to me too... unfortunately they all talk to me! I go thru building spurts. I've built 1 a month and can build 12 or 13 in a year sometimes.... This year I think I've built 4. But by golly I have a gigantic stash of kits. And, if the kit is cool enough, I'll spend the money. I'm young I have plenty of time to be broke later lol
  19. Beautiful!! Steve McQueen would be proud!
  20. I'm good with all of that. Sounds like a plan. I seem to have this knack to not finish something I tell myself I have to finish... and then finish other things. Mostly because I also have monthly contests w/ my local club... so I try to incorporate my builds based on the yearly themes of my club. This year, trucks didn't fall under that radar.
  21. I placed an order today for my crate motor and trans for the Bronco. Hopefully it arrives in time! This big bucking horse should have quite a few more horsepower!
