I was googling pictures of it as well, and all the pictures I could find it seemed they just changed the silver/white to red and nothing else just for the sake of ease. So I'd say for sure it's a dark black/charcoal, but as with the rest of this car I'm sure it's got a hint of metalflake in it. I would even maybe look towards a buffing metalizer, and perhaps either leave it unbuffed, or buff it then scuff it with a red 3m scuff pad. Gives it a metal look without the overbearing shine. It would be nice if someone offered the Futura and Lincoln scripts in photoetch... to really add that next level of detail to the body... since it's devoid of pretty much any dash/interior detail, and any script besides the one on the nose.

I see what you're getting at now.... makes my gears turn for the one I still have left to build....

I didn't have any problems with mine assembling it with the interior in first as it shows in the instructions. My only complaint is all the sink holes in the body. Looks to me the interior is a leather/vinyl of similar body color with what looks to be a charcoal or gunmetal opposite color. I guessed when I built mine. But I also built it in it's "movie" configuration. I definitely want to do a stock version like the pic above. Seeing this picture though, lets me know I need to do more bare metal foil on the interior next time lol

I have the sunliner kit... I can't wait to figure out a color combo and build it.

That is neat. I like it a lot. I see things like this at an antique machinery show that happens near me every late summer/fall in Georgetown, Ohio called the Ohio Valley Antique Machinery show. I'm not in to tractors and farm stuff myself, but I go there because it's amazing all of the old machines that are still working, and the engineering of those days is very intriguing to me. Also, could you imagine the size of that flywheel in real life?? wow!

Same here... lots of great and extremely hard to find vintage hot rod stuff now lost.

Painted a couple of those on a van for a friend of mine a long time ago

The gloss almost gives it a fake patina vinyl wrap look too.

If you wanted to preserve the exact state, a flat or satin clear would have looked much better.

This is going to sound silly, but my favorite part is the first step into it is weathered.. Exactly what you'd see on a real mass public transportation vehicle. Beautiful work.

Great build. I built both of them (mustang and charger) when they both came out years ago. Great for die cast cars... but then Revell came out with the plastic version of the 68 Mustang... it was basically the die cast made out of plastic... disappointing. Then they came out with the Cobra Jet version... which still has the Bullitt parts in the kit.

It's all good. I was wandering aimlessly all day between the vendor section trying not to buy stuff. I was also mostly hanging out with my friend who was selling stuff. I know exactly how you feel about being a walking zombie by noon. I have bad knees and so between the up and down when loading in all my cars on the table (brought 13 like a dummy) and the walking around literally all day it really made me hate myself by the end of the day as my right knee was quite angry. Then the 2+ hour drive home didn't help.. haha. Congrats on the wins. Really liked what I saw (of what I knew for sure was yours... Cuda's and rat rod)

That's going to be a beautiful car when finished. Lots of good detail going in... I can't bring myself to go that far. I have trouble with tiny parts!
