  1. This thing is looking even more wild and I love it!!
  2. That engine bay looks right on the money in there! I bet you'd even be able to slam the Monogram 1/24 78 Firebird 3n1 chassis and interior under it!
  3. That's going to be a beautiful kit. can't wait to see it out.
  4. I've considered dabbling in WWII airplanes as my grandpa was a pilot in the 49th fighter group and I always thought it would be cool to make a few of the planes he flew.

    Cobra Wagon

A Cobra "shooting brake"! lol I dig it!!
  6. I find that sometimes doing nothing for a while helps reset the mind. Lately I've been watching TV and drinking beer.... not the best way to stay in shape haha! but it does give me time to think. And I'm usually the kind of person who will think about something until it eats at me then I start working on it... hence my '68 Ranchero conversion, and my '80 Bronco
  7. Welcome, I assume by your comment on being lured in to building cars and trucks, that you build other things already?
  8. I generally follow the order of the instructions as a guideline. Just because sometimes you can screw yourself by putting something together first and then backtracking. I only really deviate from it if I'm doing a complete custom project where I'm working on different parts at different times, but I try not to assemble anything out of order.
  9. Looks great!! the caps really did set it off!
  10. Looks great! I have this kit as well, and found an old chopped 3 window top to go on it.
  11. AC/DC I think would be my top favorite. There's another band that's a lot younger that was inspired by AC/DC, and they're also from Australia. They're called Airbourne. They're quite good. Like AC/DC but a little more in your face and harder. Then, there's the psychobilly band Zombie Ghost Train, who only has 3 albums, but I really enjoy. Here's a sample
  12. I'd put some Dodge dogdish hubcaps over the wheels. That would look killer. it would also cover up the 4 lug wheel centers.
  13. That's actually really neat! Well done
  14. A friend of mine, born in Kentucky, has a total surfer dude accent.
  15. Also the lady who played in X files... who's name escapes me now... she's also Australian.. and I didnt know this until I saw her on the episode of Top Gear (UK) and it really caught me by surprise!
  16. I wonder if this was a change for the 70 models... the way the torque boxes were molded... or a cost saving measure? I don't know enough about the Charger chassis' to know why the change would have been made. But I'm interested in having the k member in my hand, and to see how much it lowers the front of the car and puts the wheels in the right spot (which was some complaints about the old chassis IIRC)
  17. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like the chassis and even the interior pan is an almost direct carry-over from the existing 68-69 Charger... which I'm entirely ok with as I personally LOVE that chassis. The only thing that looks a little different to me, is where the front of the leaf springs mount.. right in that area.. and the front K member looks different... more open/realistic looking. Which is probably good. But I doubt this version will have pose-able steering, just eyeballing it.
  18. Accents always interested me as well. I seem to not have an accent even though I live in the country. However you can tell the region I'm from based on certain words I use like pop instead of soda. However, since I have little to no accent, I can pick one up pretty quick if I'm around friends that do have some sort of accent. And I'll talk like them slightly. Also, I seem to be pretty good about imitating a lot of different accents... British, Australian, New York, and a few others. I can always seem to pick out people from northern Ohio, near Cleveland area and upstate NY, as to me all the accents sound very northern in the way some words are pronounced. I call it the "almost Canadian" accent. I also find it interesting as someone pointed out earlier, how British accents make people sound more intelligent (even if they aren't) and on the opposite side of that, southern accents tend to make people sound "less intelligent" to others, even if they are not at all. All about perception. and I do enjoy a woman w/ an accent.. whether it's southern, British, or Australian. I'll take all 3
  19. Added a few more touches to the roll cage on the Bronco last night. Got a 2nd jeep snap kit as well for some more wheels/tires. Can't have too many spares! I think the roll cage is done now. Should be more than sufficient w/o going for overkill.. and it makes it look very streetable. I'll be adding some bumpers front and rear along w/ rock sliders/step bars soon. I also added a spare tire mount to the back of the cage. And it's great because it fits with the cap on! Just in case the weather gets too harsh down under! Might switch out the seats... not sure.
  20. Also how about a dip in muratic acid? (pool cleaner used for rust removal)
  21. I haven't seen oven cleaner mentioned yet... Also, nitromethane should be available at rc hobby shops still right?
  22. It's the Revell/Monogram '80 Bronco
  23. I have 200 kits.. if I don't get one it's no big deal. I need to build more than I buy....
