I know the thread was started a long time ago. Are the unfinished models (works of art) still in the museum? -
Cobra Daytona CSX2299 at Le Mans 1965
vamach1 replied to Gramps46's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
CSX2287 has a bizarre history from the Salt Flats records to movies to the National Register. I have seen the car several times at the Simeone museum in Philly and at the Washington DC auto show where I got to talk to Pete Brock for about 30 minutes. -

GT 40 seat painting ideas ???
vamach1 replied to cobraman's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I checked my two kits (Magnifer and Trumpeter) and I have one set of the aftermarket tires and the resin spare but no aftermarket seats. I just ordered the seats from mediamixhobby and with the currency exchange rate it should only be about $40 shipped. The race is on to see who gets them first. -
GT 40 seat painting ideas ???

This website says they have the seats in stock and the other one may have the spare tire. I thinking drilling out the holes is the only other realistic option. -

Nice job Gary. Keep them coming.

I like the improvements you have made.

Yes $150 would have been crazy money especially with the “new” AMT kit coming out. I picked up an original MPC 66 fastback which I figure will never be issued again. Are you just going to wait for the new kit or work with what is there? Now that I zoom in on the pictures I did not realize one of the AMT versions had the GT emblems molded in. Like the MPC kit they are a bit oversized but it makes the body unique.

Same here (no issue yet) and no response from anyone.

Thanks for all the compliments everyone. I had not built a Revell kit in a while and I was pleased how this one came out.

Our local CVS. Thre’s a few 1/24 cars mixed in with the 1/32 and 1/43 ones. Oddly enough there is a another CVS about six blocks from this one.

Well if they ever do a remake of Back to the Future they might steal your idea. Very creative project. -
Quite impressive. I ordered the transkit from Ukraine during a short window that it was available several years ago.

The mirrors were glued on before painting and I think I used model glue with some super glue reinforcement. They could still easily break off though.

Very nice. Was this one of the resin bodies?

Very nice build. Before I became a Mustang fanatic in the mid 1970’s my second car was a 1969 GTS with a 440 and automatic on the column and a bench seat. It was a dark gold/brown with a white vinyl roof.

Now that you mention it it has been a while since he logged in. Hopefully he is just taking a break.

Factory Gulfstream Aqua. I ordered a very large spray can a few years ago from a paint supplier.
