  1. Yes Gary would be a magician if he could pull that off. ?
  2. Hey you never know. I have found him to very approachable in person but not sure about via email or Messenger.
  3. Reviving this old thread to get me motivated to finish this project I started about 20 years ago so Superbike-Shaun let’s see where you are at. I have to add a bunch of pieces to the roll cage and figure out the Watts rear linkage again. I got some parts from a 69 Boss 302 diecast but it’s in storage and I cannot remember what it looks like but I found my picture I posted on another old thread so it’s time to get er done.
  4. Done. Thanks for listening.
  5. Nicely done and great to see so many Daytona coupes posted lately.
  6. I hear you. I think I paid $10 for most of the 68 Shelby kits I bought over the years and the newer AMT 67/68 fastbacks about $15. HRM made a resin convertible version which combined the best of both kits but it was not cheap. The 67 vs. 68 interiors are a little different but for a street machine like yours it’s only something the purists will notice. ?
  7. I like the chassis replacement. The only downside is the cost of two kits for the conversion. It would be so nice if Round2 upgraded all their promo style chassis to more realistic ones.
  8. An admirable build considering all the kits shortcomings. It’s too bad Round2 did not use the original AMT molds and just rebranded the flawed MPC as an AMT kit. I would not blame you if you glued the hood shut because of the incorrect kits engines and toy like engine compartment. The Revell kit is going to be a great improvement over the original AMT and MPC issues.
  9. Yes there are some interesting items that will probably go for half or less of the original retail prices.
  10. That’s a bummer. I think I was planning all along to paint the grommets molded in the seats with a Molotow pen as the center of the holes look too small on the KA metal pieces.
  11. Super nice with all the improvements and of course the color is beautiful. When I built a similar MPC version recently I did not deviate very far from a stock build but yours shows it was worth the extra efforts.
  12. You can order them and the S&H was only $1.50 and they sent them priority mail because the USPS does not care what regular folks pay for shipping. ? Most of us would spend at least $1.50 in gas to drive the local post office.
  13. I ordered two sets from USPS.com with only a small handling charge.
  14. It’s the 289 with a four barrel intake/carb from Mad Mike. That engine will probably go into a GT350.
  15. After reviewing my stash there is no doubt I could build #14. As a side note I have two sets of the Scale Coach works decals sheets if anyone needs a particular number etc.
  16. I’ll claim one of the 289 Cobra’s to build. Either #12 or #14 depending which decals I have already.
  17. Very nice as always. I do not have definite plans for my Lindberg kit so you have sparked an idea and I may go that route with mine.
  18. Looking good and I really like the battery.
  19. Very nice build with the extra detailing. It’s hard to believe six years has gone by since the race.
  20. My son got a Lego Titanic for his 22nd birthday three days ago. He finished it today. ? It has over 9,000 pieces.
  21. Here’s the finishing order, DNF’s, practice only and no shows.
  22. With these kits (67 SHelby and fastback) I have glued the front and rear sections together and paint the entire body as one piece. It’s a little trickier getting the chassis in the body. This way you can fill in the gaps where there are not supposed to be any. I cannot remember about the radiator but it should be attached to the radiator support. Ignore the red reflection on the chrome in the pictures.
