Anyone deal with Motor City Resin Casters?
vamach1 replied to gbtr6's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
He should sell all his stock at a discount to get the funds to refund anyone that has been waiting more than three months. To keep taking online customers money without the product in stock or that can be made in a few months and then ignoring their inquiries is dishonest. Having said that I have bought resin kits from Jeff before online and the wait time was maybe 90 days but that was several years ago. Perhaps things will turn around with his health but in the mean time his reputation has been permanently tarnished. -
Monogram/Hasagawa 427 Shelby Cobra

Very nice Ray. I’ve seen a lot of “newer” Cobras done in a retro theme so this one is right on track. -
Fujimi 427 S/C Shelby Cobra

Have you tried one from the Monogram issue? You might have a leftover one from your other builds if you used the small racing screen instead. -

Awesome build. I remember going to the Aquasco 1/4 mile track in the 1970s. It was closer than MIR. Great memories. -

I was looking for diecast today but was surprised by the displays at two Walmarts in the Miami suburbs. -

You should be able to set a fixed shipping amount and ignore the calculator. -
Nice to meet you all from Tokyo, Japan

Welcome. There are modelers on this website from all over the world and we all love model cars. I am sure the members will enjoy seeing more of your builds up close. Many builders post in progress projects to show how they get from a box of parts to a finished model. -
Thomas, The meeting “room” is an area of tables next to the snack bar area in the movie theatre lobby and game room. It’s in a shopping center on 7001 Taft Street in Hollywood. My email is rturner72@verizon.net if you have any other questions.

Anyone Have Info On Patto's Place?
vamach1 replied to oldcarfan's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Yes it is not the best website and it is hard to find what you are looking for. Under the letter “P”you should find whatever Porsche decals they offer and the scales highlited in blue have the image and price. Send them an email and you should be able to determine the cost including shipping. Note specify the type of decal (water slide or self adhesive). I have ordered a few times and have been satisfied with their products. Good luck. -
Curtis Turner SCCA 1966 Mustang

Two thumbs on a great build. Nice to see builds of racing 65/66 Coupes that were test beds of sorts for the 65 Shelby fastbacks. -
Fujimi 427 S/C Shelby Cobra
vamach1 replied to cobraman's topic in WIP: Other Racing: Road Racing, Land Speed Racers
I believe the Fujumi kit was based on a “newer” CSX4000 Series chassis with a lot of the modern upgrades so there are differences from an original 1960s 427 Cobra. -

Another old thread that caught my attention. I had never heard of the Mustang GT enduro. Only three were made due to the high cost. I am contemplating modifying a 81 McClaren body I have to replicate this wide body unique Mustang.

I guess a 140 HP V8 was a fast car back then if they were going to be chased by Police cars with 4 or 6 cylinders. ?

Really nice build and the seat belts looks insanely detailed. I probably have a set of those somewhere.

Two thumbs up on fantastic build and conversion from the 2nd movie version.

Congrats on two awesome builds considering what you had to start with and all the enhancements you added. -
You must like this kit. Beautiful color and great build.

Very late to the party on this one. What a fantastic build.

I found this old thread as I’m getting ideas on how to proceed with my Super Stallion. Thanks for sharing.
