  1. It’s been over a year since an update. I dug the kit out of storage and decided it was time to finish it. 99% of the parts are painted so just need to assemble and do the rest of the decals.
  2. Yes Harold Bradford makes the HRM kit. He does not have a website and most of his sales are through an agreement with MBW. He chose to go the wholesale route as apposed to his good friend Norman Veber of Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland who also makes fantastic resin parts and some kits but only sells direct to the consumer. Norm does not have a website either.
  3. A pre-order is probably the way to go. When I bought mine about five year as ago I was able to get one directly from Harold but had to wait about four months. It looks like as soon as Randy gets more product from HRM it sells out quickly.
  4. Absolutely. I’m not holding my breath on a 73 Japanese police car version but I already converted the Testors “kit” to one.
  5. Yes those would be good choices for variations as they use the same hood. I had to add a lot of extra parts to the AMT kit to build this one. I have an Eleanor body painted but that’s about it.
  6. Gary (Gramps46) is a walking encyclopedia on Lemans car and especially GT40s and Cobras. I look forward to following along with the GT40 build.
  7. Fabulous paint and detailing. ?
  8. There have been over 800 views and several comments on the Revell Facebook page since yesterday. It looks like many people are excited about this all new kit and many probably did not know about that it was in the works. Some of the questions and comments about 71-73 Mustangs are humorous to say the least.
  9. As you may have noticed the First test shots are out and they look great. A huge thanks to you for making your car available for the scanning. I hope this is just the beginning of there being other variations like a 429 Mach1 and 351 Mach1. Building a 72 HO Mach1 wold also be easy with decals and the front bumper from those other subpar kits.
  10. Photos from RKMotors website.
  11. Some inspiration for now.
  12. Thanks for posting the hood pictures.
  13. You are correct about the details I cannot recall ever seeing such as a rev limiter and voltage regulator, etc. in a kit before. The only downside is now what am I going to do with all my AMT and MPC Mustang kits. ?
  14. Thanks for taking the pictures. Revell has nothing up on their site yet.
  15. Hopefully someone in Omaha will get the inside scoop. I hope the tires are a good representation of the Goodyear or Firestone F60-15s.
  16. Saw these test shots on Facebook. It’s looking spot on. I even see the rev limiter and other things you would NEVER see on an old mold from 50 years ago. There was no picture of the hood but I’m sure the ram air plenum will be there. The more I look the more little details I see like you would see on a high end diecast from Danbury Mint or Autoart.
  17. Very cool restomod with the Cobra wheels and disc brakes.
  18. Yes I go to the Model Car Creations meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 7pm in Hollywood in the Flippers cinema and video game center.
  19. Looks great. I am working on the convertible version in Gulfstream Aqua. I forgot about the MCG photoetch - I will have to find the set I have somewhere.
  20. Yes the “backup” lights or whatever they are supposed to be did not come on US Mustangs. I guess the Japanese required amber colored rear turn signals as seen in this picture of the 429 Mach1 that was exported. It would have been more expensive to redo the stock taillights so I guess this was the solution they came up with. Anyway, glad to hear you finished the kit and have moved on to the 1/12 GT40.
  21. Looks like you are almost done with this one. Do you have somewhere to display it? It’s a big kit. I noticed there are lights underneath the bumper (which are not on the real cars). As the reverse lights are part of the taillights, I wonder if that was a Japanese thing or if they assumed the real car had separate lights like the 65-70 Mustangs.
  22. Very nice build. Picture from Facebook.
  23. Did this project go on hiatus and will it come back?
  24. Here is JC’s thread on his build.
