Yes the body looks right but I’m pretending the front end had several mishaps and poor repairs over the years. ?

You wish has come true. I paid Polecat to make two sets of Sam Auxier decals. Now that he has the artwork I guess you can buy some for less than I paid but someone had to be the first. At least I am just about done with painting the body - no fun.

Just painted the interior of a 65 Mustang fastback promo. I might leave the red as is. I had to hand paint everything as there is no way I could get the dash out of the interior. It’s funny there is a clutch pedal but the console has the automatic PRNDL markings.

Fantastic build with all the modifications to make it look right. Granting the Shelby scoop onto the stock hood must have been a pain. One thing I have done with building these kits is to glue the front and rear sections onto the body after the necessary adjustments and paint it all as one piece.

The main hurdle I see with adding and engine is the lack of anything resembling the rear suspension and side panels. I think there was a transaxle sold by Clearly Scale at one time that might work or perhaps use one from a GT40 kit. You might also want to take a look a the Shelby Series One kit as a potential donor for some parts on the next project. I know Brad from HRM talked about doing some sort of transkit but not sure if that project will ever see the light of day.

Still no word I guess. ? I also noticed VENOM has not been on the site since February 10th. Weird. 6/22/22 UPDATE: See post by Gramps46 about Josh Atkinson aka VENOM. Sadly Josh passed away the day after he last posted on the forum in an accident in February.

Perhaps remnants of where the mold was modified to fill in the fake scoops on the 69 body.

Love the color combination. It’s a shame no other company made a Pantera with an engine. I have perhaps 8 kits and they are all basically the same except one has opening doors and headlight covers.

That color looks sharp. Not sure if you plan on adding the silver along the bottom. I always liked that Ford did that so the body did not look so large.

Congratulation on the museum honor and you deserve it.

The 1/24 looks like a toy. Oh wait, they are both toys. ? Well, the 1/8 one would qualify as art in my book. -
Looking good. I think I I know the answer but did you put the batteries in the gas tank? That explains the “switch” on the bottom. When I built one of these about 40 years ago I did all the lighting. I did such a bad paint job and the windshield and cowl area cracked after several moves so I ended up selling some of the parts and kept some. I have a “brand new” one which I hope to get to someday.

Bestmodelcarparts@gmail.com He sells primarily on Ebay. Sample of what he sells below for dozens of kits in many scales. Please not these are not decals but printed on thick paper. Cut them out and use glue to hold in place.

Good info to know about the KA detail kit. I always thought they were expensive and wondered if they were worth it. Your build is looking like it’s off to a great start. I’ve build a CMA one with the Fujumi chassis and HRM engine kit.

NIce. I saved an MPC Mach1 gluebomb and ended up doing a Twister version in the grabber orange of course with Fred Cady decals as seen in this picture with a 1/32 build in the front.
