  1. I blew some dust off of these oldie but goodies for pictures. Thunder Valley/Fujumi Gulf GT40, Testors MKIV and Fujumi MKII.
  2. Great model. I saw this one on Saturday.
  3. Doubtful. Although I had it floored on the straights they did not want you accelerating on the corners so I feathered the throttle but never touched the brakes. The drivers that were giving rides had faster cars and I rode in one and could tell they would not held back. It was a blast and none of the other participants passed me so I must have been doing okay.
  4. Very nice. That’s the one of the three I have not build of the 1-2-3 finishers.
  5. Have a great 12 lap drive and rode with one of the instructors. My sone and daughter got rides too.
  6. Very nicely done. I built this kit a few years after it when it came out and added a few parts from Larry Boothe’s masters that Norman cast and sold in his R&MofMD line. I forget what color I used but I’m guessing it was a Testors model masters or perhaps from the Car colors line. I added two more pictures to show the blue color better as the first two appear much darker than it looks in person with good lighting.
  7. Sorry about that.
  8. You could try bestmodelcarparts.com and ask if he can do a set.
  9. You’re welcome. Lyle always takes pictures at MAMA meetings and posts them on the website and his personal Fotki page. I enjoy seeing what those guys are up to and Tim Sickle puts out a great club newsletter every month.
  10. Norm is doing great and is making his excellent resin stuff again trying to catch up on the backlog of orders. Here’s a picture from last months MAMA meeting.
  11. Brad has been going to the monthly MAMA club meetings so give him a call.
  12. Apologies if someone already posted this model. Picked up this HM 65 A/FX Mustang at Walmart yesterday. Very nice for the price.
  13. Michael from Best Model Car Parts said if I send him the dash he can make the image the correct size. I’m send it off to him and post when he sends it back with the artwork.
  14. Those pictures more than a decade old and with the release of two 1/12 kits by Trumpeter and MENG I’m not sure many would fork over ten times the price of those kits for Marshall Bucks kit not matter how nice it is. If he produced maybe fifty he might get the $1700 but IF they kit is ever produced I’m guess that price would go up another 50% due to cost of materials, etc.
  15. 73 Mustang T/A. For some reason I like to get the body painting out of the way first.
  16. I’m using parts from the AMT kit for this build instead of the more recent MPC Round2 rebox. The build will be something in between the box art and how the car looked in the later years when it was raced in IMSA. The interior and chassis are a test fit to see how the stance looks.
  17. Very nice build. The Boss 302 engine would be a natural for the MPC 69 Mustang kit. Of course Revell finally got around to doing their own Boss 302 a few years back.
  18. I sent them an email. I would think that would be fairly easy. Thanks Here’s what the dash in the kit looks like. No decals provided.
  19. Reviving a ten year old post. I have this kit and was wondering how anyone that has built this kit handled the dash. There are no decals provided for gauges and trying to paint the speedometer details would seem nearly impossible to make it look real. Any ideas? I have found 1/12 guages on Ebay but they are for the 66 GT dash or the right ones but only in 1/24 scale.
  20. Sounds like you should stay as far away as possible from them. Many reputable companies have “stores” on Ebay and at least you have some protection if a deal falls though or an item is damaged. Plus if you use a credit card you are protected as well. As a seller Ebay of course charges high fees but small sellers probably want the global reach instead of relying on Facebook marketplace or similar free sites where it’s more of an honor system. Ebay is not foolproof but if the deal sounds too good to be true it’s probably best to steer clear.
  21. Another website shows December as the expected date but no doubt it’s coming out.
  22. The movie producers were very loose with the race results. One example was the 66 Daytona race where Miles and Ruby by eight laps and not a neck and neck battle for the win like in the movie. Worse yet some the result of the races in the movie were rewritten to show Miles winning in a Cobra over the real winner MacDonald. Despite all the errors (intentional or otherwise) at the end of the day it is worth watching and entertaining for non racing fans which would be the majority of viewers so it’s no surprise they made changes.
  23. Very cool. Cannot wait to see the rest of the builds.
