'68 Bullitt Mustang (Frank's and Sean's)
vamach1 replied to Csaba aka felhasznaaloo's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Very cool. I got to see the car about five years ago before it made the rounds and was sold at auction. -
From the vault #9: Mickey Thompson-esque 1969 Mustang Funny Car

Very nice work as always. Thanks for sharing. -
Looking forward to this one.

I purchased this 1972 Mustang Olympic Sprint convertible back in July. It is the third one I have owned of the fifty made for the DC Cherry Blossom parade festival. When I sold the previous two I figured when the time was right I would get another and this one is in great condition. The first picture is at the recent Hotwheels show in El Segundo CA and the rest are of the 2nd one I owned.

Sounds like a nice project for the Mach1. Please fill in those vents on the back of the hood as they were not there on any 71-73 Mustang.
-
Looking great. Is that a 3D printed carb? The kit one is far less detailed.

Great looking grabber Mach1.

I just visited the Segerstrom Shelby Event center today and was surprised to see some 351 and 429 Mach1s and Boss 351s.

Looks like the same molds as the Eagles Race brand that sold back in the 1990s.

Mustangs and Mustangs.
vamach1 replied to Steve "Stangfreak? Mason's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Welcome Steve and cool builds. I have been a fan of Mustangs ever since I bought a 72 Mach1 in 1976. -
Another great build.

Looking great and I am biased when it comes to Mustangs but this is one of the best new kits to come out in a very long time.

Beautiful build.

Historic Racing Miniatures Parts
vamach1 replied to 250 Testa Rossa's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Brad is dealing with chemo treatments. I saw him Saturday and I got the impression he is probably done casting. Norm may still have some of his HRM stock. Here’s the R&M Co of MD display at the last MAMA meeting. Norm plans to be at the ACME show in October. Not sure if Norm will be casting HRM parts. -

Try www.Pattosplace.com. They are in Australia but make decals in 1/32 for hundreds of cars.

Very impressive kit with the engine detail. I’ve build a few dozen 1/43 kits but none have been as intricate as the MFH ones. Keep up the great work.
-
Very nicely done. I sure wish there was a 68 Shelby kit as accurate as this one or a GT500 kit version of the 67. Revell did make a nice 67 diecast kit of the GT500 which is often overlooked.

AMT 1971 Mustang Mach 1 - Diamonds are Forever!
vamach1 replied to ModelcarJR's topic in WIP: Model Cars
This kit was at one time the only 1/25 Mach1 but since the Revell kit came out I would be surprise in the MPC/AMT ones are ever issued again given the molds are 50+ years old and there are too many inaccuracies to bother listing again. Start on the Revell Mach1 kit and you will see what I mean. -
1/12 Trumpeter GT40 Kensar style
vamach1 replied to kensar's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
You did a fantastic with the kit that has its share of errors and omissions. I went to the Pittsburgh Gran Prix and while there was only a few original GT40s there were a lot of SAFIR ans Superformance MKIIs, some newer J chassis MKIVs, and a good number of the 2nd and 3rd generation Ford GTs. -
https://bangshift.com/general-news/car-features/ford-car-features/random-car-review-1970-ford-mustang-composite-mustang-or-quarter-horse/ A little more history on the Quarterhorse. I started modifying the body of the 69 Shelby years ago but put it away to finish someday.
