  2. If your not at least 75% confident, then I wouldnt try it. Its very easy to ruin resin. But then again, youll never know unless you try. I didnt attempt anything like this until I had built a fair amount of resin trucks, and back then the resin was much thicker. You might be able to get away with using the hood and grill from a DM 800(which already opens), and the resin fenders. The hood should be pretty similar in shape to the RM, and if not should be easy to fix. Im sure I have an extra hood.
  3. Gator, Im glad to hear your not using the sleeper. For some reason I thought you were. This build is one that Im anticipating the most. Do you have any plans for wheels? This rig would look great with some aggressive off-highway rubber (resin). Did this kit have the twin turbo Cummins?
  4. The sad part is, Ive known about it and still forget to fill it in
  5. Another cool project Jacobus!
  6. Nice work man! FYI, there are some mold seams on this cab that shouldnt be confused with 1:1 factory seems. One of them is right at the top sides of the windshield between the winshield and the door trim. The others are vertical seems right in the curves at the back of the cab. The vertical seems to each side of the rear window are factory, the others are AMT. I hope this helps. It makes for a much more realistic model with these gone. Also, the angled cut on each side of the cowl at the bottom, should be filled in. This is a removable piece for the Autocar kit, but none of the others that uses this cab.
  7. Very cool Mike. I can honestly say that I havent seen this done yet.
  8. Heres some progress on the Bullnose. The frame rails, being from an original issue W925 kit, were very warped. Ive been working with them to get them straightened out. I removed all seams and squared up all edges of the parts pictured. I put the frame together tonight along with the fuel tanks. The axles have been assembled, as have some of the engine and trans. Using my usual technique of cutting off all locating pins and fitting the pieces together without them, all has gone well. Questions and comments are always welcome.
  9. Jeezum!!! Thats looooooong Brian!
  10. Alright! This is getting good. That long frame on this old Coe is gonna look killer.
  11. Give this video a watch. This is a beautiful truck, and it sounds just like the 351 in Duel(just watched it a few days ago, so the sound is fresh in mind).
  12. Great build. The weathering looks spot on. I like it!
  13. For some positive inspiration, heres a needle nose with custom fenders.
  14. aka means "also known as". The right phrase is imo "in my opinion".
  15. Looking great Charles. That transfer case looks pretty massive.
  16. I dont have any info on the air ride, but heres a cool story of an H model Mack. If your not familiar with it, its a cool truck and cool story. http://www.tenfourmagazine.com/feature/2010/5.html
  17. Nice work Sean. Its surprising that the kit would have the wrong tanks in it.
  18. Fine job JT. Another beautiful rig on the shelf.
  19. Looking good Gino. Thats a nice start.
  20. Im happy to see the Western Star re-issued. I might finally venture into Euro trucks with the Scania 6x4, or the Renault.
  21. Nice job on the Chalmers. Ive been wanting to build one of these myself. I have a great article somewhere on a factory equipped White Freightliner Coe with a Big Al. Fine work.
  22. Its good to see that Old Iron still gettin it done.
