  1. Thanks Jacobus. Most of what Ive seen as a Mack Flintstone is a RD600. I will do a search of that and see what I come up with.
  2. Its very easy to build one using a DM800 and an R model cab, and this is what I have done. Thanks Ben, I appreciate it. As far as ebay, Ive been digging for awhile and havent found much. Ive heard about an Australian Mack book, 50 years of Aussie Bulldogs, that is currently being sold at Australian Mack dealerships but I dont know how to get one.
  3. To our Australian builders, Im looking for any photos or info of a Mack R800. Ive found found a few pics online, and not much info otherwise. My understanding is that this is basically a DM800 with a centered cab and right hand drive. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Heres a pic.
  4. Nice work, and cool project. I didnt know this Holmes wrecker body is available in resin. Are they still being cast, or is this an old casting?
  5. This may not help, but if you didnt know already that AITM has a Western R700. I know your looking for a R600, though. I dont really have any info on the 1:1.
  6. Those hinges look perfect. Where did you get them?
  7. What a great build! Very nice work, and cool idea. This would look great with some crated up diesel engines on the bed.
  8. Man, this thing is cool. Its a great brother to your Diamond Reo dumper. Great job, its got that Chuck personality.
  9. Thats a tragedy Alain, but I know youll get it back together as if nothing happened. I know it hurts to see that happen.
  10. Wow, this is the second one of these that Ive seen. I want one just to see how much it compares to the AMT truck.
  11. I cant wait to see those pics. That sounds like a great show.
  12. Nice score Jacobus. I wouldnt mind having one of those Road Commodes myself.
  13. Wow Brian, that chassis is looking top notch. That is some clean work, and it really pops with that paint on it. This old Mack is really taking shape now. Great work.
  14. Well as they say Dan, you gotta break a few eggs to make an omelette. This takes this build to the next level. I like it!
  15. Thanks Brian, your too kind. Your no slouch yourself man.
  16. Thanks Rich and Tom. Small update. I continued working on the cab hinge, specifically the frame. Im trying to make a convincing factory piece on something that didnt have a factory tilt. Hopefully this looks believable.
  17. That color looks great Dan. Good call on opening up the grill.
  18. As usual, what an unbelievable build. I hope you built a set of keys for it! I watched the whole thing unfold, and its still amazing. Fine work sir.
  19. Jim your right, they didnt tilt. Some were converted later on, and I explained in an earlier post that this truck will represent a resto-mod that would have been done around the 70's. Thats my explanation for using so many W900 parts?. I neede it to tilt because of motor detail. Otherwise it would have been next to impossible to display the engine. I have two other Bullnoses that will be built by the book, I promise. Photos by William McCullough
  20. Thanks Dan! Thanks Gino! Thanks Sean, I really wasnt sure about the turbo box at first but it grew on me. Thanks Rob! Thanks Ben! Thanks Dennis! Thanks Ken! Im trying to give you some competition for that 352 with the king size bed. Thanks Gator! Thanks Brian! I couldnt imagine trying to work on one of these things. Thanks Michael!
  21. Awesome! It looks great. Nice save on the windshield.
  22. Thank you Dan and Gino! I was able to start building the cab tilt mechanism. It looks pretty primitive right now, but there will be more detail added(gussets etc). But the cab is officially mounted to the chassis, and it tilts.
