  1. Some of the best eye candy for sure!!! Beautiful build David..
  2. Those kidney bean wheels are also included in the AMT competition parts pack conglomeration kit that had the chrome T roadster frame, drag strip accessories, and a sprue of chrome wheels.
  3. Fantastic build Bob!!! Whatever it takes to break a slump is good, and this looks like a museum piece.
  4. Very nicely done Bernard!!! You hit all the nails on the head, even the engine....
  5. That is one neat little build!!! What's not to enjoy....
  6. Very nicely done Drew!!! A little bit different seeing a kustom coming from you, but it sure works!
  7. Those slicks could have been the old Monogram tires used back in the early 60's in several hot rod kits.
  8. RatRod

    1970 ½ Camaro

Georgous build, it dang near looks real!!!
  9. Built this one many years ago, and amazingly enough it still sits in a dustproof case right here! Monograms Thom Taylor '34 Cabriolet. I always loved this shot....
  10. That is cool for sure!!! You must be talking about the one here in Kennewick that was on that sign pole for many years. Seems like the last time I was on that side of town, they took it down, but it was there for a really long time. Great build!!!
  11. Check out Sven's..... http://homepage.mac.com/ssven5/Sites/Svensworldofwheels/images/camaro_fun_car1_page.html
  12. In Monograms 1964 catalog they have the Big T, Big Rod, Big Tub, and the Big Drag listed as $10.98 ea. I just ended a 15 year quest this week, and finally got an original Big Drag, let me tell ya.....inflation really set in.....
  13. I love it!!! This is one fantastic build, love them Harleys.
  14. The Firestones were done by MPC back in the early 60's. Don't know what kits they were in, but I was lucky enough to find a couple sets in a junk lot on eBay a few years back, and am using a set on a build now.
  15. The chassis is about the only thing shared between the two kits. Your best bet is to get an original, even a decent buildup with all the key body parts would be a great start. Tiger shark built by Dave young.... Dream Rod built by Mike L. Scott (this model travels with Moriarity's restored Dream Rod, and is painted with left over paint supplied by Mark) Here's a good link about the car.... http://www.rodandcustommagazine.com/featuredvehicles/1001rc_car_craft_dream_rod/viewall.html
  16. For me it's a passion, I love all automotive, and motorcycle subjects in scale. I enjoy a good challenging build at times, but in my older age I really enjoy building from the past. Modeling in the sixties, and finding them in so many stores, with such a huge variety of subjects was an experience I'll never forget. Getting to build many of these wild, wacky, zany, goofy (the list goes on.... ) model kits again with the reissues of late, is a real memory booster!!! There not for everybody, but don't be haters of those that do enjoy 'em. Now, wasn't that fun?
  17. That model hasn't changed at all over the years, with the exception of the wheels.
  18. On top of everything else, he obviously had NO FEAR!!! RIP E.J.
  19. I picked one up today, and it's a great kit to have back after all these years, but am a little dissapointed at the new tool wheels, and the use of the rat rod tires. I'm thinking the wheels and tires from the Beatnick Bandit would bring back the "old" Revell look to Tweedy Pie.
  20. That came out "simply" gorgous Bill!!! The engine detail, stance, and paint are perfect.
  21. How about a chopper....
  22. Bravo!!! That came out excellent!!!
  23. You had another spectacular year Lyle, all are fantastic!!!
  24. That's true Chuck, the first double kit version of the King T/ Wild Dream was done in an AMT box, from what I have heard, the guy who started MPC worked for AMT, and he was told that he could start the other company, but all the "new" kits had to be sold under the AMT banner for the first year..... Maybe back then, but I'm thinkin' a deal like that wouldn't fly to well today....
