  1. Another fine masterpiece. I think the next game is 'Where did that part come from?' I like that the top of the AMT ALF Ladder chief hydraulic ladder cylinder cap is the front axle bearing cap. greg
  2. I asked for replacement tires for a model and got them with no questions. You might have to wait for a re-pop of the model to get the part if they don't have it in inventory. Patience is all it will cost. greg
  3. Another way of keeping the dimples is once removed from the master sheet is to use a liquid glue like Elmer's to fill in the dimples. once dry it is easier to work with and not damage the dimples. I use a spray contact cement to then adhere the foil to the project. I use the large deck floor from the AMT ALF ladder chief kit to get foiled deck plate. All of this Seagrave was done with this method. greg
  4. https://papyhobby.com/collections/papyhobby-d8 hope this works for you. greg
  5. I have an upcoming fire department 100 year anniversary banquet where I am supplying model fire apparatus as table center pieces. I would like to attach RFI devices to the cases and to be able to have like my Ipad near the door to prevent theft. Anyone have any ideas or know of a process where multiple items in a room can be tracked? Apple air tags are out of the question due to cost as I;m supplying 35 units. I think if someone has an inexpensive and or rental system there might be a market for that application. greg
  6. I need help from a electronic genius. I have Spectrum phone service for my home phone. I can call Carlie and we can talk for hours without any interference on the lines. I talk to my friend 20 miles away I get cracks, buzzes, loss of volume and click call dropped. I contacted Spectrum several months ago and got a replacement modem due to mine being out of date. I still have the problem and my friend had ATT&T check her lines. Interesting is that she does not hear the noises on her end. Last night I had enough and called Spectrum, The system was all checked and he said there was no problem. My limited electronic guess is that the connection between Spectrum and ATT&T is not fully connecting. He said it was their problem and past the 'buck' to them. Great debate between me and the tech began and I got frustrated and hung up. Anyone out there have any ideas where the problem lies? greg
  7. WOW boy time is flying, I didn't realize I parked this project that long ago. I got the hood and grille from C1 scale models and what a difference. getting towards the end of this project. greg
  8. Have odd request for a fellow modeler to help this model builder do a huge non modeling favor in Troy, Ohio Please PM me if you can, no need to reply to this request in the open forum. greg
  9. Just a few photos from car show. To hot so not too many photos, The 1952 ALF 700 parade truck is back in the area after a detour in the South. https://public.fotki.com/GLMFAA1/armstrong-austintow/
  10. Just a correction folks: Pinecrest was the production company of the late Bill and Andy Eichhorn. A father and son team from Pennsylvania. I had the great pleasure being a hobbyist with them. greg
  11. Came across in my stash the black plastic stake body option from the early 60's Chevy pick up kits. Anybody want to give a guess on the value of these parts. They re-released the trailers, motorcycle and go cart. What happened to the stake body? greg
  12. Only way to find out is they used the 1/24th Monogram Ford pick up body and if the kit interior fits we'll convict. greg
  13. Got my order from C1models: Nice stuff, Death in Paradise soon to be alive. Not bad for order less than a month from England without special postage. greg
  14. Thanks for the follow up: To the collectors that might be scammed by someone dumping this kit in an old box: 1. the ink stamping on the bottom of the bed, 2. the bumpers had the year stamped at the plate, 3. the valance piece between the bumper and grille has the turn signals, 4. half of the baja kit are included/missing in this kit (roll bar, big tires and rims, and 4wd option). greg
  15. Nice job on the truck. My first true really owned new car was a 76 Ramcharger, I rear ended a Pinto in an accident (fortunately it didn't explode) so I was at fault and updated the front with a 78 grille assembly, Kept both grille and valance turn signals. I had amber bulbs in clear lenses. Now I'll start the controversy of having clear or amber lenses in the grille. Was just looking on the Ramchargers web page and it seems that no one knows how or why there were two different turn signals in the same year. There was even a picture of a Pierce mini pumper with split lenses. p.s. Take a little piece of square white stock and stick it on the fire wall as all good Chrysler products had the resister? greg
  16. Welcome to the Big Red Truck club, well done. Hoped you enjoyed the build as much as I enjoyed helping. greg
  17. Nice work, I wonder if the Caprice had to be modified like the Fords had to be? The Ford crown Vic had the Lincoln chassis to make the leg and head room required by the taxi commission. To tell the commercial built Ford taxi as opposed to a conversion the factory ones had silver rear and front bumpers. greg
  18. Dang! You got the shrink machine working again. greg
  19. If you can find the V6 'Dauntless' engine from the old MPC jeep kits you will find the carburetor for a V6. The were Buick V6's greg
  20. Administrators: Please remove duplicate replies, I am so sorry for this, and I am sober greg
  21. Just a few last details, Blacken the inside of the hard suction, also take a small piece of sprue and glue a leftover small intake cover reversed and stick it in the lower ends of the lower hard suction to duplicate the small diameter hard suction. doesn't matter on other end as it would not be seen as it is extended out the front. reat job. greg
