  1. Years ago I had a squirrel who would knock on the door for his treat. He would hang on the screen door protector and rap on the glass. He would go to the tree and then come down and take his 'Chips Ahoy' cookie from my hand and go to a branch and eat it in spiral bites rotating as it got smaller and smaller. Today I have birds to feed and when I put out peanuts the first visitors after the broadcasting blue jays are the squirrels. after dinner siesta greg
  2. Are you still here ? Looking to make contact with you Terry. greg

    In need of

    Didn't Rommel's rod have a skeleton? greg
  5. Does anyone make decals of the 'Top Hand' 78 Dodge truck? Hickey custom trucks in yellow with stripes to put on the pickup or warlock releases. greg
  6. Forgot to even post the mistake on the box cover model built by Fred Reagan. He was told to build it as per the instructions. Also not to mention the rear view mirrors from the kit that when mounted the doors would not open. greg
  7. Nice and different, years ago before I found red as my only color I enjoyed both the AMT and the Revell kits of the Willys. Good job on a rescue. greg
  8. For years the AMT American LaFrance pumper kit directions have shown the assembly of the hard suction couplings wrong. This what real hard suction hose ends look like. Hard suction hose is used to draft water from the source to the pumper. It is made of corded hard rubber like a car tire to prevent collapse. Here the correct way the hard suction coupling should look like: To add a little more detail here are some suggestions: When they are placed on the racks both ends are the same: Males on one end and female on the other. Since the female end is larger it is at the rear of the truck. greg
  9. Nice old rig from the past, looks ready to respond to the school yard for that double dog dare. greg
  10. I'll check my stash for the Mack CF spokes. greg
  11. What to do with a sunning Prieser figure when you don't have a beach? you make a tanning booth. Clear rod, graphic stick ons from the Ford Expedition kit, some K&S tubing, and some Evergreen sheet and rod. lotion bottle is just different sizes of tubing. Paint is chromate green glossed. greg
  12. Starting out with the GMC General cab and omitting the hood. Added pieces from AMT/ALF kit. Will be a Bondo buggy. Will be doing different rear body. greg
  13. Look for the old 'oil embargo' two piece tires and they would be easier to work with. greg
  14. You could put a protective cover over the glass and insert it to give you some backing when sanding. If really brave cut the corner piece of the glass that is in that area and glue it in place. Looks good so far. Wish I knew of your dilemma years ago as I built a sprint car using the rear end of a Falcon, I had a full roof. greg
  15. I've been working on a model of this P51 using the AIrfix/MPC 1/24 kit. I used a 3mm Molotow pen several years ago and it's still shiny, I have no pictures of the build. The work stop order is I'm missing the tail wheel. The invasion strips have to be adjusted to fit the decal sheet I got, The model is not proportioned to the real plane. greg
  16. Forgot about the deluge unit, thanks. The Revell 56 ford bed would look good on that pick up. greg
  17. I already have my project selected for this model when it is released. greg
  18. Nice piece 'Any color you want as long as it's black' greg
  19. Suggestion for curved window, Take a template of the curve to a grocery store and check out the plastic packages in the bake goods, fruits, veggies or any other items that come in clear vacuum form or blown plastic boxes and get you curve from them. I know the examples shown have ridges but there are smooth side ones. greg
  20. "This kit was created in a time where we had fewer warning labels and people understood that sharp knives and glue were to be handled with caution." And even the paint might contain lead! ? greg
  21. Interestingly doing a little internet search for box art information most of the releases say 'big Dodge engine' but the 74 say 400 ci and the little red wagon says 360 ci. So whatever you want to call it you got it. No Hemi? Another thing that's been corrected is the front valance between grille and bumper has the turn signals filled in as opposed to the original that had the earlier turn signals in it. The goof is the old interior tub has gas pedal and brake pedal molded in the floor and then the dash board has clutch and brake pedal hanging down. enjoy your build, Now wouldn't the side stacks from the red wagon look good in gold to match the wheels and pin stripe. greg
  22. I've gotten the secret decoder ring message, I'm so glad your elves have stayed on after I heard Santa's got benefits and a 401 plan?
  23. Ok, I need to know the secret to having diamond plate on the edge. Yea Charlie's back to red paint! greg
  24. Sorry, I don't get models sent to me free to review☹️ and I don't want that. I just build. Sorry, did'nt mean to hijack this thread greg
  25. To all the video modelers who do 'unboxings': Please read the instructions first before you show the parts and if you are unfamiliar with the item learn what it is. It would be a benefit to your presentation to state what you know about the kit especially one that is a re release that had prior different versions where the manufacturer left the older parts from past version. Maybe take a marker and show what different parts are and color code them to show what matches up. i.e. 2wd vs 4wd parts. Some pre-production rehearsal or story board planning would be helpful in your presentations. Maybe I should file this under 'what irked you today' but it's not just today. greg
