  1. Just a few last details, Blacken the inside of the hard suction, also take a small piece of sprue and glue a leftover small intake cover reversed and stick it in the lower ends of the lower hard suction to duplicate the small diameter hard suction. doesn't matter on other end as it would not be seen as it is extended out the front. great job. greg
  2. Did you find some brass for the springs? greg
  3. I agree with Charlie, It looks like the Pinecrest casting greg
  4. Another stab at this, Molotaw the outside and the bar above Mack and Mack logo then use silver magic marker on the other horizontal bars. greg
  5. I would try a Molotaw pen. greg
  6. Nice job on the vents. For all the years of service it be no fault of having multiple shades. Unless you are making first delivered day truck. greg
  7. monogram green hornet greg
  8. Think of the adjunct manufacturers or companies that supplied add-ons to your vehicle: Ziebart undercoating, AAMCO transmissions, Rayco, Earl Schieb, Whitney's, and I found this: Elevated kiddie car seats that just hung over the back of the seat. greg
  9. My guess: A=Corvair greg
  10. Wasn't the term called "No go Showboat"? greg
  11. This did the trick. More than I expected in parts. thanks for the tip greg
  12. Looking for anyone that can connect me up with a British model club so I hope someone can find me a hood and front end modification for the RoG Land Rover greg
  13. Ford Wimbledon white is an off white color not a snow white color. Just used DupliColor Wimbledon white spray. I use flat white primer and gloss it for my black & white cop cars. greg
  14. looking through E Bay I came across this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/374775733842?hash=item57425fde52:g:sgQAAOSwJxpkmJjg&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwPq1XnkH3eAnytNzAJNhWYqwNa%2Fwqd5T9Fg3PRSdZZdLdQV79IiXpMNEmmU1HabLO1UAZPy8T%2BZTMlnsqER8Ym27aZPpjc3R57jM7XrHPLUqBNx7dVDcnPJapwbD8MjFIuVHVwU8qSoeTiHGz1f4cAUr072zpwoTgkglW0YGlJQA93lImEOaq9CU2p8tzihhUbowO9Pk4xS4%2BwbktNSAsVB6dhMxsPv1KJ2B4UgjEyee0zTemp9lxVJuXW%2Be9kL%2Bhg%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR9DTmPueYg Anybody hear of this? looks like a Camaro kit. Box top art states kit unable to build. You woulda thunk that they would have thrown in all kinds of mismatch parts in the box. greg
  15. That looks like your at your finest. I bet the vents were put in on different shifts at the factory. Laverne was told left side hinge and Shirley was told right side hinge. Have an APB out at local hobby shops for spring material. greg
  16. My choice is to use the Dremel drum sanders for the rough out work, then files and then the X-Acto blades. Also have tungsten carbide spear shaped grinding bit that works really well at low speed. My Dremel is a stylus 1100 cordless. greg

Another design school test: Here's your pencil and here's your triangle. It aced it. greg
  18. Jeff: Turn the top suction hose around as when firefighters unload the hose they don't need to turn it around to connect the two together. Remember the cab is a tilt cab so room has to be left for the arc of the tilt. Also to Steve your right about building fire apparatus. I have had over 50 years of joy building them. greg
  19. Was just browsing the threads and read the one about the telephone booth and it reminded me of the old playboy cartoon of the drunk in a phone booth and on the phone. He was leaning out of the booth with receiver in hand saying he was at the corner of telephone and telephone. greg
  20. Calling it almost done. (waiting on more decals) The AMT Chevy van, Scratch built .040 evergreen sheet box with 040 quarter rounds on roof edge. curbside with no interior detail except kit parts. Johan radio console placed into doghouse, AMT TwinSonic light bar, Jewels for side scene flashers. Decals by Charlie. Paint is Walmart spray can, stripe is Testor's red (Insignia or guard's). Dual wheel rims made from backing rim put in front of regular rim, sanded off edge of regular rim so tire would slide over it. High top ambulance was built from original kit that had the optional side pieces. Was rehabbed last year. Building tip: I used 5 minute epoxy for the taillights. I mixed Tamiya clear red into the epoxy when mixing A & B then just dropped into the holes I drilled for the taillights, back up light just plain epoxy. greg
  21. Keep going no stopping now. greg
  22. Looks good, just two questions: Why the red stars and then Aberdeen Proving Grounds? Is it self propelled? greg
  23. OK guys: I took a Johan stretcher, and Prieser bather, sitting figure and 'Linc' and put them on the roof then shot the picture with the body on the spec sheet that I got the measurements from. You can see that there is room, though not much it would be there. greg
  24. No, it's just the shortest length that was a Wheeled Coach spec. greg
