  1. Nice job on the B24, one of my favorite WWII bombers, Liked the Monogram 1/48 bombers, did mine in 'The dragon and his tail' using rub n buff silver and KitsWorld decal set, I had the model with the Emerson nose gun. greg
  2. Power antennas, fender skirts, continentals, loud horns, lap belts, wide white walls, red line tires, dog dish hubcaps, large diameter steering wheels, knee jamming key switch, front fender rocket or wing doodads, killer hood ornaments, if you owned a Jeep -fold down windshield, removable doors, removable top, and buying anything you needed from J.C. Whitney's greg,

  4. Well its on the way to Utah, Hopefully the Twin I Beam will survive the Postal test. Thanks to all my friends who helped for this cause. greg
  5. Calling it close to done, just a few fix its , will fix the D as damaged in handling will be redoing rear markers. Bumper is skewed as Ethan Wayne said neighbor backed into truck. Thanks to Charlie for the decals. greg
  6. Thanks for the tip but I went to Model Roundup and got a photo etch set for the kits. Got it on the model and some extra stuff like the dash logo, radio surround, rear cab utility light, door locks, and the side ranger logos. greg
  7. A 1968 Ford F 250: Sparks Motor and Robby Layton are cloning Ethan Wayne's truck that has been handed down through the family and is being raffled off to benefit the Duke cancer foundation. I took the Mobeius 68 ford kit and duplicated in scale. Here is the You Tube about the real truck: Still in progress, fit up and now you know why I was hunting for Ranger logo. greg
  8. Now this would be fun masking: This was some kids school bus back in the days. greg
  9. Nice conversion cabs. Would you be interested in making a somewhat universal cab design? The cab is called a 'Cincy cab' built by the Cincinnati Cab Company that was used by many manufactures like American LaFrance, Sutphen, Duplex, Pierce, Hahn, FMC, etc. There is also a newer wider cab version in production now. greg
  10. Friday night dinner at the restaurant: Not knowledgeable about DeSotos, can someone supple more info greg
  11. Thanks for the answers. Did a little research and found this: https://www.modelroundup.com/product-p/mcg-2297.htm Photo etch parts for Mobius trucks greg
  12. Nice tribute, appreciate the skill in doing the Aerialscope. My tribute to FDNY. Brookfield Indy Suburban, aftermarket GMC Grill greg
  13. Well were on the subject of DD. I wanted a 1/2 dozen Boston cremes at the drive thru, She only had four so I ordered them. When I got to the window she hands me a bag with the 4 donuts stacked on top of each other. I refused to take them as they were sticking to each other because of the topping. She took them back and placed the same ruined donuts in a box. I still refused them and asked for my money back. Got my money and left, never going to that DD again. Emailed corporate office and complained: Crickets. greg
  14. I have a project and it's a 68 Ford f250 Ranger pick up. The grill on the real truck has a ranger logo in the center of the grill. The kit does not have the logo in the grill. AM I missing something in the kit or is there an aftermarket grill with the logo? greg
  15. Hurrah for digital photography. When GSL started it would have taken 17 roll of 36 exposure probably black and white film to do what you have photographed at the meet. Unknown how long it would have taken to develop the pictures and no way of mass distributing them to the public except print media. Once again thank you for taking the time and effort. greg
  16. If they use the same molds for the bodies as done in 1960 and 63 the Ford pick ups were uni-body as the bed and cab were one piece. The Chevy kits had separate beds. greg
  17. Let the redball express roll! Great model. greg
  18. Finally, a real Dietz 4 bulb gumball, greg
  19. It's only taken 45 years: greg
  20. The item sitting on the booster reel floor is a strainer that attaches to the hard suction when they are drafting from an unknown water source that might have contaminants that would damage the pump. Simple mock up would be a piece of exhaust pipe from a big rig truck model with a cap and ring in the center. there was rope tied to the strainer to retrieve the hose from the source when done. Other mock up would be tubing cut to size, capped and rope tied and then wound around the strainer like a spool with the other end of the rope stuck in the end. only start wrapping rope at top greg
  21. Nice tribute, Need to set up drag race between that and a car for 'Big John and Lil' Chuck? Ernie Anderson the voice of ABC network, writer for Carol Burnett, tagged along with Tim Conway and Joe Flynn to Hollywood. Nothing like staying up late and getting WJW on the TV and seeing Ghoulardi do his antics, 'Knif' greg
  22. The updated Motormax Ford Interceptor/explorer is out. Did the silver version into Ohio State Highway patrol. Building hint: If you remove the front push bumper bar the holes can be filled with the smallest lights from the universal AMT clear red truck light tree. The lights on the first row of the tree fit exactly in the holes giving you little red flashers for the front. Wish Bill Bozo would update his OSP decal sheet. greg

  23. I just want to thank the sponsors, promoters and the participants in the NNL East. Fantastic show, What I have seen through various media the show must have been tremendous. Thanks to all who have shared your videos and pictures to all of the hobbyists unable to attend. I really miss the original NNL meets in Toledo Ohio. The traveling feet of my youth have grown roots to my residence and no longer have the desire to travel. Best to all that made the venture and keep on modeling and promoting the hobby greg
