My experience is that the tip is divided into 4 sections. I cleaned mine with 90% rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover. It has a larger wick inside the barrel. make sure that the tip at the end is exposed and not jambed up in the barrel. greg

I cobbled my fender flairs from the AMT ford van kit (Phantom). Just a little bending and trimming. greg

To get that many pipes use the Tommy Ivo 4 engine dragster. The Allison engine exhausts weren't that large. greg

Years ago, when the Avanti II's were being produced in Youngstown Ohio, a friend had the (dis)pleasure of building many and many of the AMT models for the company owner. He had a deadline as they were being used as center pieces for a banquet. Fortunately he didn't have to paint them. He never wants to see another Avanti kit in his life. greg
