  1. Yep, he started the '67 season as a injected only car, but added a blower as the need for more power arose.
  2. Excellent build. Nice to see body, chassis and engine accurately displayed.
  3. Found this pic on the internet. I know it's a fake but it is fun to go along with it.
  4. Found this pic on the internet with interior shots.
  5. Quick build of a Lindberg 1/100th Avro Vulcan bomber. Built in flight with wheels up. Always wanted one for display after seeing one in the 007 movie "Thunderball".

  6. Agree entirely. That's why I'm kit bashing one from a current Infini T dragster kit.
  7. I found these in the spare parts box, I don't know what kit they are from. I'm thinking maybe a Lamborghini Countach kit
  8. Thanks for the update, am following your work closely. Have all the body parts, Volkswagen chassis, engine, wheels and tires to try and copy your build. Wondered how to mate the VW chassis to the side tanks.
  9. The Banana Splits are smiling. Good job.
  10. Noticed that most spray paint cans are still at the unchanged old price. On the internet they show a new price of $8.29 to $8.99 and I picked one for $5.79.
  11. Incredible build. You nailed it.
  12. Best time in the quarter mile was 8.04 seconds ET at 167 mph by the restored version..
  13. Got this glue bomb off the Bay. Disassembled and started over. Used an AMT '33 Willys coupe as a doner kit. Body was resin so had to be careful with paint remover. Engine, wheels and tires are from the parts box stash. Paint was Testors Star Spangled Blue lacquer. Decals from Paintinjoe (Fremont Racing). Before and after pics below. Let me know what you think.
  14. I'm calling it done. Went with Testors Star Spangled Blue lacquer. Got the windows and last parts on. Decals were three layer colors and were alot of fun.
  15. '33 Willys gasser glue bomb rebuild. I think the stance is close. Next, is to sand down the resin body to prep for paint.
  16. Some progress. Finally got the chassis trimmed to fit the body. Then it was a fight to get the engine mounted to get the hood down to let the blower hat protrude enough. I think the stance is close. Still need to sand the body for painting. Not sure of which color blue yet.
  17. Seeing as you mention the '60s, how about a true survivor built in 1963 from a Revell double kit. It cost me almost $3.00 for the kit and a can of spray paint. That was 6 weeks allowance back then. Had to replace the wheels a couple of times due to the tires melting them. Yep, same tooling as todays Atlantis' Fiat.
  18. I've read in this forum that 91% alcohol can be devastating to resin. I have a ways to go before its time to paint so let me think about it. Thanks for the tip.
  19. It is a very smooth paint job. I will just paint over it. Had to sand down some fish eyes but not too many. Thanks for the tip on Westleys Bleche, I will use it on other builds.
  20. Well, it arrived and is pretty much a glue bomb. Got it apart fairly easily. Body looks good, not much damage which is the important part. Do have a complete donor kit available. Into the Westley Bleache Wite bath. Clear coat and decals came off but paint won't budge. Will probably prime over this as it is pretty smooth. Here's a pic of what I could save.
  21. Your right about the color changing depending on the pic you look at.
  22. Thanks, I'll check it out.
  23. Thanks, I figured it was since I've never seen a plastic kit for one. The decals are from Fremont Racing (paintinjoe). He has an auction for them on Ebay right now. Ron Bizio 33' Willys Pickup AA/GS 1/25 Decal from Fremont Racing | eBay
  24. Will do. Am leaning toward Testors Star Spangled Blue laquer. We'll see.
