  1. I think you can register these minitrucks as ATVs in Maine.
  2. Exactly! It's common sense, innit?
  3. Always, when brush painting, use real hair brushes. They get better coverage than synthetic.
  4. I found that custom grille a while ago in a parts box, and the radio went in my International flatbed. Funny how you find stuff like that. I have a couple of MPC flipnoses I've been looking to build, maybe I'll put that grille on one.
  5. I've seen red oxide here in Maine's Wal-Marts. Regional thing?
  6. Where did that come from, Manuel?
  7. I think they're going to rule for Tony. Ward got OUT OF HIS CAR on the track, which, though I am not a racing driver, I know is not allowed. From what I saw on the videos, it didn't look like Tony purposefully hit him.
  8. I was thinking of painting a car say red oxide then a coat over it with little bits of something to set on it so I could peel them off and see the other color beneath it. Any tips? I was thinking small bits of rubber cement applied with a toothpick.
  9. Those would be great for a diorama... Think an abandoned, yet somehow un-dusty showroom the owner had just left in the early 60s...
  10. You could just use a metal-effect paint and some polishing compound.
  11. I have one I need to get goin....
  12. I saw a Saturn sedan the other day with a full size riding lawn mower in the trunk, held up by half a million ratchet straps. Good thing we weren't on the road behind it!
  13. I'm already gathering stuff to make another... I'm a pioneer in the 1/24 - 1/25 scale model tractor building community XD
  14. Here it is with paint! It's painted with Model Master Italian Red, which matches Rust-Oleum Sunrise Red, thus matching Farmall Red! Still needs headlights and a gas tank.... Sickle bar mower? Hmmm....
  15. This tractor is all scratchbuilt, not a kit. You can see its build topic here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=93406 Neither is really completely done, per se. I need headlight lenses and a gas tank for the tractor, and I may as well call the rig curbside, as it's got no engine Thanks for looking!
  16. I saw an alternator, fan belt, bumper, and mirror from a car. The alternator want rusted and I hadn't heard of any crashes around there... O__o
  17. I think Lego could be a gateway for new model builders.
  18. You'd be amazed how much text you can pump into that thing. I had some pretty good documents on there, a few at least 10,000 characters. Did I mention the thing runs on AA batteries? XD
  19. My dad used to have one on his Mustang II drag car.
  20. Rust is easy! It's fun, too! You just have to get a few different colors of brown. First, I take a medium, like dirt, brown and make a big splotch with it. Then, take a brush and put a little dark brown paint on it and feather it on. Always keep some reference pictures around to make it come out as best you can.
  21. You've gone this far, I'm sure that won't be a problem!
  22. He means a Silverado and a Ford Super Duty. I'd like to see an 88 Ranger XLT. That's what we have in the shop right now.
