Think about World War Two. Many have speculated what humankind would be like today if the Axis forces took over the world after winning WWII. What about automobiles? Germany made the Beetle, which was amazingly reliable. They probably wouldn't think so highly of American cars. But they wouldn't want to just throw the American cars away. So I've made a prototype. Take an American car. Oh, here's a Monogram 40 Chevy! How ugly! Germans wouldn't take so kindly to the American front-engine style. So what would they do? Put a VW engine in it, in the rear, where an engine belongs! They would put the headlights on the fenders, inset, where they belong! American seats? Pshaw! VW seats all the way! Pictures soon to follow.

Guns?
chunkypeanutbutter replied to chunkypeanutbutter's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Since it's gonna be in a hillbilly truck, I was thinking old weapons and crude ones, like cut down rifles and shotguns, maybe a hunting rifle, revolvers, and that Tommy gun would work great, too. -

Guns?

I'll have to look into it. Thanks for the info, guys! -
Any info on guns in 1/24 or 1/25? I'm not too specific on exactness, as 1/24 and 1/25 look basically the same to me. I really want some double barrel shotguns for hillbilly trucks to make into sawed-offs XD Any kind of pistols, too, would fit nicely.

I found a body, most of the chassis, and the engine with base for one of these in my parts box.

Revell Karmann Ghia - Hoodride style
chunkypeanutbutter replied to Dirty Dave's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Not bad! My dad rehabbed a Ghia for a guy from Spain. Somebody fixed the rockers in it before by shoving wads of newspaper and rags in the rusty parts and covering it over with caulking... Needless to say it needed completely new rockers! -

VWs are bulletproof in the right hands. Some people don't understand cars and mistreat them. Otherwise they are total troopers, and easily fixed on the side of the road.- 12 replies

chunkypeanutbutter replied to chunkypeanutbutter's topic in WIP: Model Cars
We never had a fastback. We have the 73 and 71 Squares, we had two Buses, and now we have a convertible Beetle. There was a time when we had eight Vanagons in the driveway.- 12 replies
