The squirrels seem to keep their distance and I do the same. Hopefully we continue to show each other respect. It's been this way for years so I'm good with it.

You wonder what happened to the original copy that some of us never got. Post Office delivered it to the wrong address? Ended up in the back room? We'll never know. Glad you were able to stop the replacement copy going out. Hate for the magazine having to pay extra for someone's incompetence but appreciate they do it for us subscribers.

Your model looks great and your photo settings are great too!

1/64th Dirt Late Model (Dirt Modeler brass kit)
TonyK replied to ClayK's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
Madness. How? Great little model you've done there. -
I've had mine sitting around waiting to put decals on too. With the horrible weather we're having (my workbench is in the garage) I decided to sit at the dining room table and attempt the decals. What a nightmare! Not looking good at all but I've finished. Now waiting to trim and do a touch-up with paint but I don't expect it to look a whole lot better. btw, your finished model looks great! Excellent work!

2017 Ford GT GTE

This looks great! I remember looking at the 1/24th model of this car and the paint scheme scared me. Your model is very enjoyable to look at. -
Answer #1 - I have plans to build every model I've got. Answer #2 - I won't be able to build every one I've got in my life time. I do enjoy looking through my stash to decide which model I'll build next. Nice to have a lot of choices.

What I always wonder about these people buying ridiculous amounts of "whatever" is was your kitchen empty before all this came about? We haven't been to the store for a week but have plenty of things to choose from to eat. Oh, and what irks me is the freezing rain we just got to land on top of the ice we already have. Haven't had a snowflake yet. All ice.

Looks great. All I have left is to put decals on mine. Hopefully it goes well but I'll keep your experience in mind. -
It does look nice and I really like that engine detail!

Freezing rain predicted today. Dangerous and destructive. Still gotta take the dogs out now and then.

Yes, I remember reading War of the Worlds when I was a kid and had envisioned it so well in my mind. Then I saw the movie and was hugely disappointed. Started to learn at an early age what Hollywood could do or not do with an original story. There have been some good movies adapted from books though.

I watch the Peacock show every day. I enjoy all of the classes. Don't think I could pick a favorite.

Great job on the scooter and the dog......assuming you had to paint the dog. -
Whatever happened to it just snowing? I don't mind snow. You can drive in it, play in it, looks pretty, etc. Even dogs can have fun it it. Anymore it always has to be nasty wind and sleet or freezing rain. I don't even mind real cold temps if the wind and sleet isn't pummeling me when I go outside. Old man rant over.

Can't recall exactly the first time because I'm old and it was a long time ago. Had to be around 1970 and I was 12 or 13. Saw them at Portland and later at Seattle for those 32 and 64 Funny Car meets so no one driver in particular. The term "ground pounding" was what I felt and was close enough to them that my chest would feel the air impact when they'd blip the throttle. Walking down to the finish line and hearing the engine at full song, I thought they should blow up. A related story which is a favorite memory for me is when we went to Seattle when my son was maybe 10 years old. My wife had my son in front of her and we were waiting for a Top Fuel car to start up in their pit. My son looked up and asked if they started it yet. LOL Told him you'll know when they start it! Started it and blipped the throttle a couple of times and I looked around and my son and wife had left the area.

ROVER BRM Le Mans 1963

I enjoy seeing these "different" looking race cars from the past. Very nice job on this model! -
I'd never seen that Hot Rod Celica model before. Wonder how much the actual kit resembles the box art. Had a '77 Celica like that and it was a lot of fun to drive. Handled great.
