Has my replacement copy been sent out because I still haven't got it. Very frustrating.

Doubt you'll see anything anywhere except places such as here and NHRA. He's not involved with stick and ball sports. I remember him well back in the day and it was always a treat to still see him at the start line on the drag strip. Really like seeing these ex drivers continue on in the sport. He will be missed.

I'm stunned. Looks like a real car and a real setting. Amazing model, diorama, and photography!

Had a similar thing happen many, many years ago on the way to work. There's a 3 way stop intersection and there was a car that showed up at the same time to the left of me. I waited a bit to make sure he was gonna stop and then I went. Got pulled over by a young cop that claimed I didn't stop! You can't argue with him. He gave me a ticket. I have a clean record and you give me a bogus ticket like that?! Bugs me to this day.

Still nothing.

That finish is excellent! Beautiful car. I plan to do the gangster version as I don't want to attempt a perfect paint job like yours but the overall model looks like a lot of work.

Yes, but look at the great service USPS will provide you. pphhhiffftt

You really made this old kit look good! That driver does add some nostalgia to the model and you painted it nicely.

I used to buy one now and again when I was a kid also. Never bought comic books but CARtoons and Mad magazine would get my money until I started buying Hot Rod, etc.

I don't know much about armadillos but seems a bit extreme to kill it. Maybe I'm wrong. I've had to catch moles in my yard every now and then and I still remember the first time I swore once I got him I was gonna kill it with a shovel but couldn't bring myself to do it. I've released them in the woods far away from anything. I get it. An armadillo would be a different situation than a little mole.

Finding some “old” kits

Very cool! Thanks for sharing. -
What did you put in that coffee? Just kidding. It is nice when that type of thought or feeling comes to you every now and then.

I just said to the wife about the word "turbo" being used in every mechanical thing advertised and then I turned the page and read your post! LOL And I never use the word "awesome". Just really nothing happens that great in my life or that I see in a regular day.

Used to be a boy 2 doors down that had autism. Very interesting to hear the things the parents had to deal with. What I remember about the boy is how smart he was as you point out about your son. Sometimes when he was out playing he'd come up to me and bring up subjects that we talked about in the past. Really enjoyed our conversations and he was a great friendly kid.

Never been a Toronado fan but this is a great looking model! The model looks better than the actual car as I remember it.

Looking for a new drill and knew what I wanted so looked at Amazon mostly because of the big inventory and reviews. Didn't find what I wanted so thought I might run down to Home Depot but first I looked at their website. Found what I wanted and they knocked of $20 and shipped it to me the next day for free! Good for them......and me.

You should be irked! But, I'm not surprised by the decision making when you're dealing with "higher ups".

Excellent! I always enjoy looking at a well done diorama and the thought that goes into one.

I sent my request in too. It's too bad we have to do this since I know Model Car Magazine is not to blame. Lately the mail service has really gotten worse than ever.

Well done! I once had a 4' x 8' HO setup a long time ago and always thought it would be fun to do a simple little section like you've done here.

USPS delivered a Christmas card (I assume) to me with the wrong address so I wrote on it saying "delivered to wrong address" and sent it back. I got it in the mail again yesterday!

1975 Chevy Van “Gone Kyaking”
TonyK replied to Chirps's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
I like it! Looks like something you would see in real life and you did real good with the details.
