Yep, this was a good explanation about the past week. We just needed to be patient.

There hasn't been any at the Hobby Lobby I've gone to 2 weeks ago and Monday this week. Maybe someday.

1/16 MPC 1973 Petty Charger
TonyK replied to Dan Cooper's topic in WIP: Stock Cars (NASCAR, Super Stock, Late Model, etc.)
Looking real nice. I built this as a kid and decided to buy it when reissued to relive my childhood. Was disappointed there was no clear body but that was my own fault for not paying attention I suppose. Haven't started it yet but your build is getting me motivated. -

Great looking model with lots of nice detail. Good job! -
One of my all-time favorites. He's tough, still wins, and his interviews make me laugh.

I enjoy watching this when it's on tv. As much that I'm amazed at the dogs talent I also appreciate the person coaching the dog has got to be in decent shape.

"Lola" from The Kinks back when I was young. Either we didn't have much in the way of censorship then or they didn't pick up on it. I remember some other kids didn't get it and I was happy to explain it. As mentioned above; Walk On The Wild Side. Censorship wasn't in our face yet.

Great looking models of some great looking cars. -
I was just telling the wife this very thing the other day when one of these stupid commercials came on. Told her we've been getting along just fine all these years taking a shower and wearing clean clothes with a bit of pit-stick under the arms. Stop already!

Well, you managed to take a horrible car and make something decent out of it. I especially like your paint scheme. -
That's real nice. I like the painted frame. I think I have this kit or something similar. Thought it looked fun to tinker with in between my regular model building but remember after opening it I was overwhelmed with all the "pieces". LOTS of work it appears. I admire what you've done.

Porsche 935 Daytona 1977. 1/12

Always liked the 935. Great looking model and amazing detail! -
67 and in reasonably good health. I keep active with yard work and dog walks. I get up early and work on models for 1-2 hours every day. Have way too many model projects going at once and as I've gotten older have a harder time finishing one before starting another. I eventually do finish them but it takes many months.

I still remember being a kid on vacation with my family in Canada in the '60's. I was very much into cars and enjoyed seeing the slight variations of cars I knew in the USA with the ones in Canada.

Ran in to Hobby Lobby yesterday for a look-see. The usual models were there but there were a few empty holes that might've had something new? Don't recall seeing empty spaces before so don't know if stock is down or what. I bought nothing.
