Well, we were just informed that natural gas will be a bit cheaper here as they're going to lower the rate. But, the electric rates are going up possibly double digits.
So the end result is it doesn't matter.
Very pleased with Revell customer service. Had a warped and broken windshield frame for the '29 Model A roadster. Contacted them and they sent a replacement which didn't take very long to get here. Now I can finish my model.
I've dealt with the credit card fraud before and have known a couple of others it happened to. Luckily the banks are right on top of it but still a hassle. Seems Florida is the popular place it stems from. Odd.
Lots of cool pictures. I've enjoyed looking at all my Dads slides from the past and the old movies but not gonna go through the time and expense to digitize them. We've had some fun with my son and his family looking at them but after that...... Sad to realize no one will really care after I'm gone.
Since I can't get to the "irked" page I'll post here. It kind of pleased me anyway as I had to smile at the slight humor of tracking an order.
Been expecting a package from UPS and it said delivery yesterday. Since that was Sunday I knew it wasn't going to happen. Later yesterday it said today. This morning it says Tuesday October 31. Been through this before and it's no big deal. Kind of funny actually.
I only feed them small amounts. Some days they don't come around at all and that's fine with me. I have bags of mixed seeds so there's big and little stuff. The birds come around more than the squirrels and are picking at the ground all the time. Good entertainment.
I've heard all the horror stories of squirrels tearing up peoples houses but we've been here over 20 years and things are good. The woods behind us is where they live so they come here for meals and go back to the safe place.
Great story. I've had squirrels in my backyard for years and one of them comes scratching at the door wanting me to come out and feed them. I named "him" Steve until my wife pointed out it's a "her". Very tame and gets way too close to me. The dogs go nuts when she comes to the back door. I can work in the yard and they don't run off.
Yes, I remember this was an enjoyable kit to build. Too bad so much of the interior and engine is hard to see.
I really like your setting and photos of the nicely built model.
Thanks for the replies. Yes, I looked at Texas 3d Customs before and forgot about Fireball Modelworks. They're not bad but surprised I haven't seen anything that looks like the old WARN winches from the past. Maybe the ones I see now are the newer type.
The picture of the Swamp Buggy looks similar to the ones available at the above sites.
