What the...? Fun to see someone's imagination come up with something different. I really like it.

Good to see an old Monogram model again and you did a very nice job on this one.

One of my favorite fighter planes. Your model is amazing with the painting and weathering. Thanks for sharing. -

Moebius Hudson Hornet differences?
TonyK replied to TonyK's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
And they were very nice decals! -
The Monogram World of Outlaw kits were very nice but hard to find anymore. Revell recently had the Joey Saldana kit which was an updated version and very nice. Again, hard to find. Wished Revell would've made a bunch more of those kits with various sponsors but never happened.

Moebius Hudson Hornet differences?
TonyK replied to TonyK's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Thanks guys. Figured as much but thought I'd ask just to be sure. -
There are several versions of the Hudson Hornet models but I'd like to know if the basic parts are all the same. By that I mean, would all the chassis and running gear be the same for each kit? I have built a couple of them in the past but was curious if the '53 and '54 passenger cars are the same. The Marshall Teague kit compared to the drag racing version. Wanted to know if I just bought any one of them for a donor chassis. Thanks for the info.

Godfather II maybe?

I remember a 3-pack of 1/32nd scale models that might've been Lindberg. '36 Ford, '40 Ford, something like that. Got them at a local variety store. The first real kit was the Revell '57 Chevy with the box art of the car and a flagman. Thought it was great with opening everything. Other early kit was the '66 Chevy 3 in 1 and I built it as a stock car. Always wanted to get that kit again just for old time memories; the one with the stock car racer on the front of the box.

I've grabbed a brand new nozzle from another can and soaked nozzles before only to realize it's a clogged tube into the can. Even dropped paint thinner into the tube but no luck. I recently used a brand new can of Boyd's paint that would spray and not spray, spray and not spray. Very frustrating and touch and go hoping the paint job would work out. I understand it was an old can but was hoping since it was brand new it wouldn't give me any trouble. Not so.

Very very nice! And good job on the detail parts. Amazing patience. -
Fascinating! Those cats are very friendly and seem pretty friendly with each other too. Can't imagine it's always that way.

Model Builder Poll
TonyK replied to Dave Ambrose's topic in Model Cars Magazine News and Discussions
I've done 3 surveys in the last couple of weeks and each one has the age category. I have to go all the way to the bottom and check 65 and over. Can't decide if this is a bad thing but it sure reminds me of how old I am! This was a good survey and hope it answers what they want. -
"No one wants to work" does seem to be the norm these days and if they work there's no pride in themselves to do a good job. My son has trouble hiring people and recently got a guy who seemed decent but after about 3 weeks he just stopped coming to work. Wouldn't answer his phone so after a few days they were forced to terminate him. Now he has to go through all the trouble to find another person and do the interview, background check, drug test, etc. This isn't the first time this has happened either. I'm at a loss to understand people anymore.

Opened a factory sealed Revell Indy car kit and there's 2 wheels cut from the tree. The bag was opened. A bit of a mystery. I always open a new kit to make sure everything is there and check the parts for problems but for some reason I didn't open this one and here I am. Old kit so not a good situation. Might be able to buy wheels from one of the aftermarket outfits but really irked.

I would say our female dog does more licking in that area than our male dog. Don't know if that falls into the "laugh" category or "crass" category but just thought I'd throw it out there.

Just found out a local restaurant my wife and I love has closed. It's called Gustav's and serves excellent German food and always a great selection of German beer on tap. A few years ago another favorite restaurant closed. It was our where I took my future wife on our first date and we had gone there for over 30 years for great Mexican food.

That is an excellent replica! And anything dealing with Bathurst is exciting to me. -
