  1. Funny how some of these paints last many years and others gum up after only a couple and thinner won't even save it. The Model Master line of paints is a big loss for me especially the steel color.
  2. That's my answer. Jake giving excuses to save his life. heh heh
  3. Always enjoy looking at a good diorama as it shows the builders imagination and skill. This one is great! A fun subject.
  4. Hate to hear such things. I don't know how you cope with such a thing. I'm afraid for myself when the time comes for my dogs. Thanks for sharing the photo.
  5. Yes, 13 or 15 cents or 2 for 25 cents if I remember. Same with a tube of glue; about 15 cents.
  6. Haven't watched it in a long time but your description is as I remember it. The one thing that sticks in my mind was the cars looked like they drove through a mud bog. Never understood the point of making those cars look that dirty.
  7. I agree.
  8. That is really sharp. The black and white body, chrome wheels and white walls make this model very clean looking.
  9. Good choice on "Ripples" and the entire A Trick of the Tail album. Lots of good memories from a time long ago.
  10. I heard lots of bad things about this kit too so I was surprised to see one built and looking so good. I've done the same as you and built a couple of these reissues from my childhood. Sometimes I wonder how I ever completed it back then as they are so bad but it also stirs up fond memories. Thank you for sharing your great build.
  11. Great looking model. Is the paint scheme from memory or did you have photos? It looks really good.
  12. That's too bad. I see he was injured in a car crash. My wife was a huge fan of the Magnum show so she'll be bummed to hear the news.
  13. Good for you! It's amazing how well you can do when you keep hydrated. That and being in good shape.
  14. Yes, would've been nice for them to provide ones that fit this body. I "might" be able to work on these but I'm not that talented.
  15. Got the plain white model with no decals. Looks like all the same parts as the 1976 Petty Charger model except for the body. Started building it and noticed the side window pieces don't fit this body. Hopefully everything else fits ok.
  16. These are really cool. Thanks for sharing and I believe you've become a good promoter of this product. Might have to look into getting one myself.
  17. Great looking model! I haven't seen this particular livery before but you did a sharp job with the paint and decals. Yes, so much interior detail is hidden along with the drivetrain and suspension.
  18. Very nice job! Built this several years ago and have another as I planned to do the other drivers but so much to do toward masking and painting and detail that it sits waiting. Really enjoy looking at your finished model.
  19. That is amazing and I'll bet you had fun building it.
  20. Just stumbled on this "model kit" and it is interesting and looks good. Saw your Citroen the other day and didn't realize it wasn't a standard plastic model. Real nice. As stated above, I like to see anything built no matter what kind of material it is made from.
  21. This car is really bad for a George Barris design but you did an excellent job on the model. Found myself looking at it for all the great work you did.
  22. Interesting bunch of VW vans. Had to laugh at the rusty looking one with the shiny clean moon caps.
  23. Yes! Always thought this model needed a fair amount of work to dirty it up and you did an excellent job. I still remember buying this model as a birthday present for a friend of mine when we were kids.
  24. Your model looks great! Enjoyed reading your building experience as I'm just about done with mine and could relate to your comments. I didn't have any problems with paint on the chassis and I'm going with the unpainted body also. I like building this type of model every so often since they are usually fairly easy and you can paint some things whatever color you like without having to reference a real car.
  25. Great to hear that Moebius is taking care of this problem but it has to be a nightmare for them. And the cost.... They're smart to keep all of the customers happy though. You don't get this kind of courtesy much these days.
