Not having a power problem right now but our water is getting scarce in this area and so many people continue to water their lawn day after day after day so that it will be GREEN. What a waste. I let my lawn go brown and it will come back green later. I do keep my plants watered as they will die and most of them have flowers which provide the bees what they need. I monitor the potted plants and others in the yard and only water enough to keep them healthy.

That's my least favorite part of building a model. I don't mind doing it on parts but the body takes so much time and it's boring but it has to be done. I get pretty excited on some newer kits that barely have any noticeable seams at all.

This is amazing! Looking at your build was so impressive and then I saw the engine, cockpit and wheel wells and smiled at the excellent detail. Very cool. And I might have to read the book you mentioned. Interesting tidbit you gave us.

Contacted Salvinos Models last week about a replacement for a cracked rear window in my Monte Carlo model but haven't heard from them.

Yes, he was good but always seemed to be on a team that had one of my favorite drivers along side him so never was able to root for him. He had success as a politician which was cool to see but didn't realize he had some health issues recently. Sad.

This is what was on my mind. Thinking about the modeler who may or may not purchase this kit based on how cool it looks on the box. Many of us, including me know what's in the box and are going to buy it no matter what.

Tuned in to the Beach Boys on Sirius. Even though I have most of the songs in one form or another it's still fun to listen in my car when you don't know what will play next. Guess they will be on until August 31st. Their music never gets old.

Any of those old WW2 planes have a sound like no others. Happy for your experience.

I get what you're saying. Also it appears the back of the cockpit is enclosed which wouldn't be the case, right? I do like some nice art work when it happens and can see where it would help sell the kit.

This is 1/25th scale and I believe I have a resin version sitting in a box with most, if not all parts to do another one but I doubt I'll do it.

Nice to hear things are getting fixed faster than you'd expect. I wonder what's worse, breaking down during the hot spell or breaking down during your Edmonton winters? btw, I can relate to your modeling in the garage as that's where I do mine. I build at 4-6 am when it's cooler.

If an old reissued kit is something I like then I buy it. I know it's gonna be a bit lame but I'm hoping it will be a simple build and I can enjoy that because it is what it is. Sometimes that thinking will bite me in the behind because nothing fits very well and I end up problem solving the whole time. LOL

Yes it was! My wife hates it when I do the scene where Papillion asks if he looks alright and says he feels pretty good. I think I do it pretty well and that's why she hates it so much. That movie made me hate nuns because they double crossed him. LOL

Cool Hand Luke. Saw it in the theatre. Strother Martin was great in all those Paul Newman movies.

That last one is Dazed and Confused. Always liked that movie as it reminded me of my high school graduation time. Only thing I didn't like was the mean attitude of the "initiation" procedures. Now maybe it's authentic in other regions but we all did it in a fun way. Weren't out to hurt anyone.
