  1. Very nice. Is that more of that Testor Icy Blue paint? Whatever it is, the color looks good.
  2. Very nice! I think you got about all this cartoonish kit had to offer. Don't think I've ever seen a better looking one.
  3. I have the Marlin and the Rambler American. Yup, cool boxes!
  4. I took another look and you're right--they're still on the top, just interrupted on the sides for the squadron codes. My bad. So it would be sometime between D-Day and, say, late July 1944, when they started removing or overpainting them on the top surfaces.
  5. Wow, I did not know that! I'll have to keep an eye out for one of those. Thanks!
  6. The B-26's markings put it in late summer 1944 or later. Were the Germans still even using Panzer IIIs at that time? I thought by then the standard tank was the Panzer IV, with most Panzer III chassis production going to Stug IIIs and other such vehicles. (I know a tiny little bit about German armor but I'm no expert.)
  7. Lindberg did a 1/25 Cobra Daytona? I've never heard of it. As they've reissued almost everything they've ever done going back to some semi-horrid model airplanes from 1952, you'd think they would have reissued it many times over. Closest thing to it I've ever heard of from Lindberg (in 1/25) was the Triumph GT-6, and those are ex-Pyro molds.
  8. Outstanding in every way!

It looks good to me. Your second paint job sure came out nice. What paint is it? Also, what kit is it?
  10. In these pics, the paint could ALMOST pass for '66 Chevy Aztec Bronze. Almost. At any rate, looking very, VERY good! Drive on!
  11. I'll have to take a look at my Lindberg Cobra (molded in bright, almost Day-glo pink) and see if it's the same. Your Aurora Cobra seems to be molded in the same dark metallic blue that my Aurora Mako Shark is in. I think their 1/48 F9F Panther Jet might be made of the same stuff.
  12. WHAT AMT 1/32 chassis did you have in mind?
  13. I hadn't checked out this thread since your first couple posts. You have some AMAZING work going on here. Drive on and keep us posted!
  14. I can relate. I've spent that long or longer trying to find out exactly what color gray was used on the VNAF A-1 Skyraiders. To this day all I know for sure is that MOST of them were NOT the "standard USN gull gray and white" scheme that nearly all books mention (although a few were). Do you use the same name on WIX? I do.
  15. It's easy enough to make into a 150 post. Just sand all the Bel Air junk off. (I admit that one chrome strip that drops down below the backseat windows can be a little tricky.)
  16. The best typing software is between your ears. It's called "learning to type." I guess you'd actually call it Wetware.
  17. You and Chris B are in the wrong hobby. You should be in Model Airplane World, where you would gain high status as Rivet Counters.
  18. We must share a sense of humor. I like your avatar so much that I tracked down what it was (I've never seen Archer), printed out a large copy, and have it posted on my partition at work, where anyone who comes to see me HAS to see it.
  19. Amazing! I once gave serious thought to building one as the Robinmobile, but decided there was no possible tasteful or attractive way to paint it red, green, and yellow. In black as you've done it, it could be Green Hornet's Sunday fun car.
  20. But Monogram has never put out a Daytona Cobra, and Lindberg has.
  21. They were on it when I got it, and I just left 'em on.
  22. That IS nice. Dunno if I've ever seen it before. I wonder if these molds ended up with Lindberg?
  23. The '55 Chev wagon is cool. The side trim looks like someone made it at home to match pictures in a catalog, or something.
  24. Revell-a Nutella? The commercials almost write themselves....
  25. Not a fan of this car, but wow, what a great restoration and outstanding workmanship. Nicely done and model on!
