  9. The UK's Driver and Vehicle Licencing Authority are very vigilant about not letting rude or anti-social letter combinations appear on number plates. Although it can happen that some "interesting" ones do get through. The most famous of all being PEN 1S that has been owned by various people and on a range of different cars. I think that one of them was an E Type. steve
  10. The UK is much the same as Pierre quotes in Sweden. The driving licence conditions are also the same. Pass in a manual, drive either. Only ever owned manuals. No desire to have an automatic unless I'm forced to for health reasons. Wife feels the same. Drove an automatic Ford Granada hire car once and nearly put myself through the windscreen when I thought I could use my left foot on the brake... steve
  11. Here's a comment. My uncle had a Mk 9 that was two-tone black over grey with brown leather upholstery. Registration no FCK 90. This would have been in the early 1960s... steve

  18. At the garage in my village. John the mechanic and garage owner said it been stored for 7 years and "need a bit of work". Rare vehicle in North Yorkshire! steve
  19. I've been using cheap make up for weathering on model railway models for some time and it works fine. I also use the Tamika palettes for it with what I think are acceptable results. steve
