  1. please report these posts so we can block them.
  2. the crewcab/dokka is available in 3d and the van panels to convert a bus. the different roof options are available too along with all the vw wheels and grille/light options. some parts need to be rescaled from 1/18
  3. The escort cosworth road car kit would also work. it was more sierra than escort so should fit
  4. We had out local club road run today. There were a few new cars to the island this time. The 54 vw bus and sprite are from one family and they have more stuff they didn't have drivers for today, including another early bus. I'm sure i have a magazine feature on the bus in my collection. For our visits this time we got to go onboard a former ww2 norwegian coaster that formed part of the shetland bus route in ww2 (worth reading about if you haven't heard of it) followed by a visit to the fossil museum and one of the gin distilleries. We had a good day out with some interesting destinations we haven't visited before. The modern mg is one of the last v8 cars before they went to china. There were even a couple of wooden sailing ship models at the fossil centre
  5. they do but the auto primers provide an extra layer of protection that prevents the crazing.
  6. I mainly use auto acrylics. The main reason is i can get them locally without having to find a supplier that will ship to the islands for hobby paints. There is a small range of tamiya available but its only about 10 colours and theres rarely any primer left. I also use some paints by war hammer for brushing but again its whats available local but i like them for metal tones or interiors. And i've got various different washes and effects from a variety of model companies. the majority of my large parts are duplicolour and recent mostly from the hdr range of ral colours as they are pretty good flake sizes for models
  7. theres some computer type co mand words that need spelling changed or spaces added. they seem to cause posts to not be found or get posted.
  8. margret est sphere is using the wrong word
  9. i've seen files for them on cults but they call them tooned builds. Theres ones for most popular tuner cars and some muscle cars are creeping in too. I've got similar style vw teapot somewhere
  10. if you dont mind ordering from abroad, both hiroboy (zero paint) and spot model stock it
  11. when they were released people on here went mad for them, esoecially the aircooled vw guys cos the rear tyres are on every cal looker. I struggled to find any to order even at 1999 and hlj
  12. I dont have the bentley but i took some pics with the spit engine and a monogram packard which i think is a similar size. maybe they will help. one thing to remember is the engines are mounted backwards in the spit (thanks to acegarageguy for that info). they aren't great pics as i dont want toremove the engine from the sprue but for the packard it looks like it would be a tight but not impossible fit though that is just the block and valve covers without the ancilliaries. Thet still race some of the early aircraft engine cars which must be fun with the chain drives and wooden chassis, and many of them are driven to the track.
  13. its a lovely colour. not a modern paint but there was blue and grey to it as well. i'm trying to find the paint code for it to use on a 36 kustom
  14. for those that want to see the model in question https://forums.aaca.org/topic/145354-rogers-handcrafted-112-scale-models/
  15. I can see i'll be spendig a lot of money this year. the fendt and celica are the stand outs but theres others i'll end up with too
  16. I'd try some of the smaller tow truck manufacturers. The dovetails would fit their product lines and could be considered the fore runners to modern car haulers with tilt n drop trays
  17. after a cesna crashed into a graveyard the authorities had to call in reinforcements due to finding 843 bodies
  18. wow, i was hoping they were going to continue the 70s stuff but this is a surprise. I thought it would be tamiya or aoshima that did the gr first
  19. my mistake, the paint is from the 1926 model t, its going on a 36
  20. its not that its unreasonable, its more that most of us are pretty stuck in our way of doing things so adding tags is easily forgotten and they only really work if everybody uses the same tags. if they dont you get a page of variations on the spelling of some brand names. for example dupli-colour has a variety of brands they sell as and many have different spelling. in the usa you dupli-color, in the uk its dupli-colour and thats 2 tags for the same product just from 2 countries that allegedly speak the same language so when you add in the rest of the languages you might have 30 tags for one item and no 2 spelled the same. i still say if its big scale add that in the title. its the only part most of us read anyway.
  21. again no lechler code, i might have to find a supplier that uses ppg since their code comes up everytime.
  22. nah since its yellow i'd go slammed budespost van
