did you print it yourself? if so you can brush more resin on the back of some parts and cure it again. stick some tape on the back of any holes you need to fill and the same process works to fill them too

the chop was only to get the rear edge of the roof to line up with the body under the spears. if i'm right the nomad lower trunk has the same curve as the caddy body and should make blending the rear a easier job yo do -

I would look at the amt kits if you want american. Their kits are older and tend to have less parts but once they are built you wouldn't know it. They are good kits to work with as you advance too. If you want japanese I would look at fujimi or hasegawa kits as they are probably most comparable to the amt kits. Once you feel happy there loads of other brands to try. As for tools a decent exacto knife is a must, so a cutting board would be useful and i would go a3 size or bigger, some small files (often called watchmaers or rifling files). i would have polystyrene glue and some clear part glue (most glues wreck glass so it takes other types often called canopy glue), various grades of sandpaper (you wont use under 240 grit very much so wet n dry is what i use) and sanding sticks. there are starter sets available but they tend to have the cheapest quality tools but if you shop around you should get everything for less than $30. I'm sure i've missed some items but someone will be along shortly to fill in the blanks

if you have a small scale plane, most of the shapes you need are in the wings or tailplane. cut up a plastic spoon for the props and your near done -
it should be working again now

How to make door arm rests
stitchdup replied to slusher's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
i cut some plastic and file it to shape. just cut fairly close to the shape you want then soften the edges and your mostly done. to get both sides the same i use a couple spot superglue to hold them together then shape both at once. If the handles have open grab handles i shape them in last. bits of sprue are often the right size to make handles but you may need to bend it or join 2 pieces to get the shape, though older kits often have thick enough sprue to just whittle down. I like the chunky amt, airfix and heller sprue for this -

Rechargable air compressors?
stitchdup replied to Valvefloat's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
you can get a starter set, with a tank for not much more. you can upgrade as you go and the compressor should last years. it will be noisier than a more expensive version but would get you going. i think mine cost around $100/120 a couple years back and if i didn't have so mant spray cans i'd use it more -
first arrival in a while. i have a gnx kit but its molded in black and brittle with a pushed t th side roof. rather than destroy it i just ordered a grand national.

we are working on fixing it, it should be back to normal soon.
-
i would wait, deleting old pics would make the older threads kinda useless, and we all know how many threads get wrecked when a pic host changes its terms. We will get it fixed and back to running right, its just not somehing i know much about and i am liable to do damage if i try anything. I let the folk that know what their doing deal with it
-
all you can do is wait just now, it will be fixed

We might be lucky and its just the forum rearranging to suit the new limits. There have been slow days after other recent changes so this might be the same, but Dave will look once he's on again which i suspect will be later today/tonight. Until then maybe pull out some plastic.....

can someone with a pic host try posting just an image link please. i can get pics to upload by posting just the link but it might be different rules for me.
