stitchdup replied to 89AKurt's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)

Street Outlaws, Fastest in America

I think his attitude is a bit of a stinker, he can play the games but nobody else can against him. him probably not knowing there was a camera at the end probably doesn't help either. I like chucky's attitude far more, its very different to when we saw the detroit guys in the memphis show and it seems to be earning him a lot of respect -
Why Is The Dentist Office So Scarey?
stitchdup replied to OldTrucker's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I think its due to someone you barely know putting sharp objects in your mouth. That and when we're growing up watching kids tv/comics the dentist is always to be feared. I was the same but then my dentist was the spitting image of dr giggles -
I got it from a seller in france, on ebay. Its to fit the tamiya beetle kits. If you remind me in a couple of days i can get some pics for you. It has the lights in the body centre rather than the fenders and 4 off road tyres on trailer style steels

when you write your post you'll see it under the text box. Just drag them into it or select your pics by using choose files and they will show up under the text box. If your going to bw having text between pics its easier to have the pics ready before the text as you can click the plus symbol on the pic and it will insert it. It can be a pain loading the pics later and having to drag them into place

I'm looking forward to you guys reaction when you see who it is -
if the tumbler has been used i wouldn't be surprised if the motor is choked with dust, I used to fix my mates one and thats the most common problem, followed by excessive wear on the motor brushes again caused by trapped dust

Best clear substance for gauges?
stitchdup replied to Monty's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
clear plastic and a hole punch work well, or drill out the gauges and put the decal on a sheet of plastic behind, then put some clear plastic over that before fitting in place from behind. Obviously doesn't work if the detail is molded in -
May upgrade, change in how to share from Flickr

Good to know, thanks -
Theres a hydrogen fuel station on the main pier here, and another one in the industrial estate. They're pretty compact units for what they are. About half the size of a shipping container. I dont know if its made onsite though but i suspect it is as I've never seen any obvious transportation of it as i'd expect it to be the most dangerous part as things are now. I'll get some pics of it if anyones interested

I'm not sure how the link was still there, I went back and edited to be blank?? I did intend to try again lol -
Never seen that kit before, I might have to try and find one

Theres a ferry where i live thats been running on hydrogen for 3 years now. Its been more reliable since it was converted from diesel due to running cooler. It has another benefit too as the electricity used to make it can be an inline system so you can still use the same electric to power your toaster or whatever so its much more enviroment friendly than electric. You dont need to destroy the enviroment to build it either, unlike batteries. I know the company i work for made sure when they got the new boat built that it would be a fairly simple task to convert if it becomes the better option. Just now though i think hydrogen is more suited to transport companies rather than individual users. The initial investment is high but the fuel savings should make it much more viable for fleets

Received my part of the trade with gbtr6 and would happily trade again, I'll be able to start to build the fibrefac bonito fairly soon. I already had it planned when it popped up on the autoquiz
