  1. there's a thread on them somewhere onthe site, i think its called monogram something (possibly the original series name)
  2. The wheels i sent are model a but i have more bits in the pick up box still
  3. He's been doing that since the kill bill films,
  4. I've got an original but its not that complete. I think I may have put the engine and some other bits in the flathead pile i sent you. I'll look in the box to see what wheels are in it
  5. I'll have to be more careful when i use local to me terminology. For example if I was to write about building a wall plenty of people would probably get offended (or people in yorkshire might wonder how i'm building a stream) and the same happens in reverse too with some american slang/dialect. I know theres one word a lot of you guys use to describe high output builders that would get you in trouble over here as it means child abuser in my area. But thats the way of language, terms have different meanings in different areas. Its like the stories about chevy cars that renamed for the spanish speaking countries
  6. Theres a few 3d printed resin v12 lincoln engines on ebay. Some are hot rodded
  7. I'll assume you've seen the hoonigan lambo from sema this year
  8. theres a guy in belgium doing the same thing with 70s lambos, isn't it great what people can do when they dont care what purists think?
  9. Well I thought the 356 ice racer was the wildest porsche but this popped up on my feed today http://www.speedhunters.com/2021/12/burn-your-rulebook-meet-the-half11/ Its even wilder....
  10. Had a parcel returned by the customs service in the usa. Apparently model car parts wasnt specific enough so now I have to send it again. I always use the same terms so I'm stumped as to why it was refused.
  11. I think you'd be just as good using a metal ruler and no11 blade. The cookie cutter just seems like overkill unless you bake too, and your limited to size and shape but if your doing multiple of the same build i guess it would be handy
  12. The engine in the revell c7 vette looks undersized to my eye but I havent measured it. I'm purely going by comparing it to the amt zl1 engine which is very nice and looks about 10-20 per cent larger then the vette engine in every direction so could be used in a 1/24 build, while the revell vette engine cant due to the size diffence.
  13. its available as a kit too, in the bond markings as little nellie. I want to say its an airfix kit but i'm really not sure. they pop up on ebay quite often
  14. wow thats beautiful
  15. Cool, the mr whippy vans in scotland were all bedford ca's, the commers rusted too fast here
  16. Theres one of these currently parked/broke down next the boat I work on. The hood isn't shut right and theres hand prints from it being pushed on the trunk. Its an austin maxi and I think its in this colour but its hard to tell under the lights. The first car I crashed was one of these and its a kinda funny story. My grandparents lived on a small island where cars were held together with anything that worked. Its not unusual to see some strange fixes such as a 2 door volvo 240 with the drivers door from a 4 door with rope to keep it closed ish. Anyways I was maybe 6 or 7 and staying with my grandparents for the summer holidays. I would spend a lot of time pretending to drive the parts car (grandad had 3 maxis) when I decided the working car would be more fun cos the horn worked (i was a kid so this was important to me, lol) but this was another car basicly cobbled together and it had to be hotwired to start it. I'm sure you can guess whats coming, but I'd seen grandad do this everytime and being a kid I just copied what he did. So I'm sat in the car and I started it, and the car musta been in gear cos it took off and rocketed forwards straight into the middin (cow waste heap) Needless to say grandad got the ignition fixed after that cos granny blamed him for my being an idiot. This pic is from the net cos I dont have my camera with me but i think its the same colour
  17. probably the most outlaw porsche 356 possible- https://www.hemmings.com/stories/2021/12/16/renee-brinkerhoff-and-valkyrie-racing-are-conquering-antarctica-in-a-porsche-356-for-a-cause
  18. If you can find a motorsports place that does flocking you can buy it in different lengths up to 3mm and get a large kilo bag of it for the same price as 2 of kens small tubs
  19. I think he might have had a feature on his models in the aussie street machine mag a couple of years ago too. Its available online but not an easy site to search https://www.whichcar.com.au/streetmachine/features
  20. VW sp2 and a brazillian early bay bus (split window with a bay front) both with late model mexican gearboxes and suburu engines
  21. Those fujimi seats fit the airfix 1/32 beetle kit pretty well so I would expect them to fit the 7
  22. Gotta love a chopped 36. This article might be off interest to you http://fueltank.cc/blog/bryce-michelmore could that be your 36 in the first pic?
  23. I like your street rod idea but how about taking it a step further and doing a kindig style build. Maybe a revell camaro zl1 donor for the engine wheels brakes and seats with some cleaning of the body, eg. one piece side glass, reshape the rear of the roof to lose the humpy look it has and maybe move the rear lights onto the fenders and you'd have a pretty clean stylish rod and it would even work in the brown the paint faded to for continuity
