Pesonally I'd love to see the 40 finished. The lines just flow better than the others to me (but i like the modernised rods more than traditional style)
will discord help me swat, box stock builders? Just a joke, i would never do something that stupidly dumb and i appreciate all builders no matter what they build
this annoys me but only cos i recently found the tamiya 80 rally car and road car. It only annoys me due to that and i will still buy at least 3. it would be nice to have more vag kits
if you look on amazon you can find packs of ten (various colour packs) for less than a dollar with free shipping. if you select colours the price jumps up a lot though. the chrome tape is handy for bmf around windows and trim too.
Just a few from my shelf of doom. The 48 woody was almost finished and nearing completion when the rear pillers broke so its now sitting in primer, and has been for at least 2 years.
The delaheye stalled out on some suspension problems caused entirely by myself
The jaguar is more recent but stalled out for now
I found some pics of one while i was snooping about on fotki. I'm not sure if its for the amt or revell kit but i think the maker was kitchen table resin. I dont know anything else about it though but it stuck in my memory for some reason
remember to include rare in caps on all listings, no matter what it is, also vintage, antique etc. eg. Mcdonalds straw RARE, vintage, antique, retro adult built lol
a little work on the engine tonight. in keeping with the old but new theme, I made some coil packs for the engine (12 of them, lol) and did a little detailing to the manifold I already made in preperation for wiring.
I'm not too worried about the gaps in the heads, the wiring will cover most of them. I'll be adding some more detail to the manifold after it's all wired
lets try and post this again, i messed up my first attempt, lol. I made the interior tub tonight using the rear of the chrysler atlantic concept as it has the same body line as the trunk and hood. I am using the centre console from the willys but i rounded of most of the edges so it flows better. A trimmed it so the dash fits, then added some trim to bring to mind the stock grille while being obviously modern custom.
I might swap the seats for low back versions of the same seat, I'm not sure the highbacks work for this build
Time for another update. As well as lots of sanding I had to make up some lights. I used the 37 ford as I think the lenses stick out more than the 40 ford or willys ones.
I have also made a start on the dash. For it I used the willys dash as the base and a 50 ford pick up for the gauges and some other parts.
Its not accurate but it'll do for a custom.
