Resin or 3D printed funny car body question
stitchdup replied to Sketch1982's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I would look for another clear plastic. the bottles lose their clarity after a few months and look fogged up or scratched. if you've put effort into doing the work, it can be disheartening to see one of the first things you see look wrong. -
rimac now own bugatti in a strange vw merger. I believe its something like rimac own 51% of bugatti but vw own 49% of rimac. They did the same with the porsche audi merger a few years back which led to the porsche suvs since they are just vw tuaregs and tiguans under the skin (and so is the lamborghini suv chassis)

I was going to suggest the same as swamp dog. that way you can blutac them to the walls and if you feel like changing them up its just a case of swapping them around

you can get great clear plastic from computer/phone repair shops too. the samsung parts packaging is the best but apple plastic works if you keep away from the edges where it is distorted -

I assembled the engine this afternoon. It all went together pretty well and the couple of parts that were warped turned out to hide the warp when it went together. So far the kit feels like an icm/italeri cross in how it goes together. Its also the first time i've sucessfully drilled a distributor -
Thought I'd come and play with the big boys. My plan is stock with a little detail and I figured a tractor would be an appropriate load. Its not going to be shiny but it wont be worn out either

every generation has and will mess about in cars. yes its dumb, dangerous and all those other words but we all forget its still fun and the first real freedom those kids have had. where were you in 62? what were all those black and white hot rod films about? its the danger that makes some things fun

"Customer Service" in the digital age
stitchdup replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
i had to chase up a missing payment on paypal a few months back. the ai assistant was awful. even the simple question "where did you put the money from (payment id number) was too much for it to answer and there was no option for a human. -

you could try dusting on primer but you'd need to be very light. i'd sand between each dusting with sanding sponges at 800 grit or higher and repeat until your happy. even just a light go with the sponges might work as they look worse than they really are. maybe even a dusting of filler primer but i'd try the sponges alone first

Just a quick note to say editing posts will be time limited again. Unfortunately scammers are using it to come back later to add dodgy external links. We don't want anybody getting caught out so this is the best prevention at the moment. Sorry folks -
