  1. i think it was called rust to riches
  2. i guess the kit screen would work for a similar age buick if you fitted it and the roof on a foose caddy
  3. Does the crown of the roof on the 1/1 come further down the screen? the kit seems flatter above it and the kit pillars look to be a lot thicker than the 1/1 down the sides
  4. I dont think I've seen a bay window with colour matched wheels before. It makes it look completely different, in a good way
  5. That tv show on netflix that liked to use their waterjet for everybit of trim had the molds to a futura body. It and another concept copy were some of the few decent cars on the entire show. most were shoddy work with bad joins, dodgy welding and various other flaws not even mentioning the lack of concern for body lines. I think the main guy must have worked for george barris before tv
  6. Cool and in just the right flavour, remember, if you aint rubbing then you just aint dubbin
  7. just put some of the missus tights over the end of a vacuum but your probably better to just work on it wet. it will keep the dust down much better. i expect for those to work you would need to be right next it and it wont be very big either. or if you have a paint booth use it with some old filter material to save the good filters. it should catch most of the dust
  8. we got a guy on a motorbike with a sidecar until the mid 60s when they got moggy minor van or mini vans. The vans did have some differences from the general sales vans, a second seat was a special addition and they all had wire screens between the passenger compartment and load area. The post office used the same vans and not surprisingly most of the moggy and mini vans that survive were these vans because they got undersealed from new.
  9. have you tried the files in another slicer?
  10. its still better than a goerge barris car though
  11. I live 4 miles away from the last place british folk stepped on british soil before emmigrating to canada. Most europeans stopped in by to topup their supplies too before attempting the arlantic. The pier the boats left from is still there but now owned by the lighthouse board. The well they filled up from is still there too. All these boats went to hudsons bay packed with people and returned packed with furs and other goods
  12. heres the 1990 version before it was restored back to the model kit version. I cant find a decent pic of the 1980 version
  13. spot model in spain offer this service if you have the art work. https://www.spotmodel.com/printlab_howto.php
  14. I forgot about the golfs and revell vw camper/bus/van kits. I multiples of each version of those but i've been holding off on the mk1s recently as they seem to have doubled in price
  15. When i die I want to buried in a spring loaded coffin. Bet that makes the archeologists jump
  16. Very cool,
  17. do you use ad block plus? if you do try changing it to another. It could be worth trying facebook container as well as social media links in the ads could be causing problems, particularly with ad block plus which blocks the ads but leaves the links. I changed to ublock and its been fine since
  18. you might just have started squirrels on the road to agriculture. thats nearly the same start humans are belieived to have had except we were burying seeds and grains to store for winter. or it might just be the plot to planet of the apes, lol
  19. I think my shock was more that I've bought real running and driving 2cvs for 50 quid. everyone of them had a rotted out chassis but those were 250 quid to replace then and were all they needed. you could almost do most of the work with just a 13mm spanner and small straight screwdriver
  20. 50 quid for a 2cv kit!!! they have got to be joking. maybe if it was 1/16 but not 1/24. Theres more plastic wrapping the box than inside it
  21. next time your looking for qtips, have a look in the eyeshadows. there are ones that are a bit firmer with one pointed end and one cushioned end. The pointed end is perfectfor foil, especially on tighter corners and trin as it has just enough give to push down onto the tight areas, and the other end is perfect for the weathering powders and c1 metalisers. I find I use them more than the standard ones now. The nail art brushes are good too, loads of small sizes and even has striping brushes
  22. Tamiya beetles, I stopped counting at 18 but i have loads of parts and trans kits for many of them. Besides, you can never have enough bugs. I just empty the new ones into a large tote now
  23. I went to Mcdonalds this afternoon and had a kids happy meal. His mother was not happy
