Cool deal, thanks Monsigor Bill. I've tested Future and it seems to work wonderfully as long as its totally dry. I think it's a perfect sealer and probably required on any plastic now a days to avoid crazing. I've noticed filler/primer/bondo is hot as well which is why I want to use Future initially to created a protective barrier. I'm still on the fence on this scale model building fromage. Some times its way fun, other times a nightmare.

Paint Strippers - What to Use?
aurfalien replied to pbj59's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I can totally verify that Super Clean works way better than Purple Power. But the best for me seems to be 91% or 99% Isopropyl Alcohol and/or ELO. -
Another review. Seems like a cool kit;

I would have chosen LeMans Gulf colors, oh well.... -
Hi, I'm curious, you have an engine donor but it comes with one yes? Based on some literature, the 300CE is not the correct engine as the Pagani has an AMG Bi-Turbo V12? I'm kinda confused.

tamiya vs revell paints
aurfalien replied to stulee11's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Well, if it helps I always thin my Tamiya paints with Tamiya thinner. The metallic paints need a bit more thinning. And I always use a palette. -

Working with .9mm rivets
aurfalien replied to aurfalien's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Interesting, the similar MM version is ~$13 were as the Archer is ~$18. So much for mark ups I suppose. -
Working with .9mm rivets
aurfalien replied to aurfalien's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Thought to post this lil nugget; http://www.micromark.com/ho-scale-decals-with-raised-3d-rivets-and-other-surface-details,9968.html It's basically a sheet of various 3D rivets you simply cut and lay down. Also, this is simply rivet decals which is cool too; http://umm-usa.com/onlinestore/product_info.php?products_id=7012&osCsid=a9dca3694d7b21eea2ade5946031319b I think both have there applications. Now in terms of tweezers and I'm picky and have used a few cheapos, the Tamiya HG line is awesome. Great weight in hand and I used em to pick a small black ant off an ice cube out of my Gin-N-Tonic the other day; http://www.tamiyausa.com/items/tools-accessories-80/tools-74000/hg-angled-tweezers-74047 -
Sourcing very flexible rubber hose
aurfalien replied to aurfalien's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Welp, I felt a bit more comfortable going with Detail Master and Parts by Park hoses as those hoses seem to mold to some shape which I'd like to have. Will see whats actually better when applied. -
Sourcing very flexible rubber hose
aurfalien replied to aurfalien's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Awesomeness! Thanks dude, I do know the exact dims. I've the perfect rubber hose used as a wire insulator which is too stiff. -
Hi, Would any one happen to know of a source for ~5mm diameter flexible rubber hose of any color? Preferably gray, black or silver. This is similar to those found in the Accurate Miniatures M8B kit. That rubber is perfect in terms of flex.

OMG what a build and what a car! BTW I'm a fan of James Coburn for sure.
