  1. OOOOHH!!! Amphicar!! No that's one I want
  2. There is a resin Tucker kit out there, I'm not sure who has made it but I have seen builtups of it.
  3. I got this Revell og Germany (later reissued by Aoshima) Mercedes-Benz W123 230TE.
  4. If you check out the Ebay auction you will find pictures of the body where it is copyrightdated 1967. I'm guessing that these are old Tamiya kits that have not been reissued since. But does the age and rarity makes it worth 4400$? It looks like a simple kit. Only body, glass and bumpers, grille and wheels on a small chrome sprue. The Plymouth is atleast a little more difficult to find in 1:25, I see some Johan promos of the same year and body on Ebay. It sold for 1300$.
  5. The subject is not very obscure (You can buy Revells kit of the same subject for peanuts) but the price tells me it must be very rare. Still, in my eyes, not worth it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Tamiya-Dodge-Charger-Slot-Car-1-25-NIB-/271774191713?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f47011061 And here is another in the same series, not quite the same price but still way over the top. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tamiya-Plymouth-Fury-SLOT-KIT-MIB-BOX-1-24-from1966-blistered-/261767882089?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cf294e569&nma=true&si=Vp9QoRiiH3HoOqtw8Etk3DAqhf0%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  6. Real bummer with the paint. If you let it sit for long enough, maybe you will get you interest in the subject back and finish it.
  7. This looks very nice, I'm looking forward to more updates
  8. Now that is a cool kit! I do have a 1:35 Zvezda Gaz AA (a russian Ford AA) but that one in 1:24 is much more interesting.
  9. I try to keep focus on one build at a time but at the current moment I do have 5 projects that are laying around the bench, another 2 or 3 that I want to start but try to wait until I'm finished with one of the current WIPs. I also have several (have not counted) started projects that I have put away in the closet that I want to get back to later. My current WIP (the Ford F350 camper) I did start (and built most of) in 2011 and it was sitting in the closet to the beginning of this year. Very rarely do I start a build and then work on it without stopping untill it's done.
  10. So, I'm going to make some pots, plates, forks and knifes to add to the kitchen-sink-unit. This is my first attemt at a fork, made from thin aluminium. As you can see it is less than one centimeter long. I have also made the tokens and the dice for the game, blue has already won. Kind of typical that one of the players has a luckystreak and gets only six's on the dice while the rest is struggling
  11. I looks to me that the bumperguards for the wagon is fitted lower down than on the sedan. Could it be that original bumperguards are the same type for sedan and wagon and that they are simply mounted further down?
  12. Thanks a lot for the comments
  13. Very nice, I think I have to get the newly reissued version of this kit as it looks very nice
  14. That paint looks great!!
  15. Sweet looking truck, I really like your modifications
  16. They could very possibly have been sold and done well in the states. I just compared the AMT "Phantom" Econoline with the Esci Transit (yes I know the AMT kit is 1:25 and the Esci is 1:24) and the Transit is only a littlebit smaller than the Econoline in the cargoarea and I do think that gasmilagewise the Tranist would beat the Econoline, especially with the Diesel engine. The Transit has also always been available with many different combinations of bodylenght, roofheight, loadrating, engine and gearbox configurations, possibly more than the Econoline.
  17. This looks fantastic!! I love all the little details, really great
  18. Really nice one with all the wheatering. Where did you get the wheels/rims? Here in Norway a truck like that would possibly be legal as long as the chassis/frame is not to badly rusted and that everything like lights, brakes and steering work and that the engine and gearbox does not leak much oil or the exhaust is not full of holes. Some inspectors might not like the rusted out wheelarches but if you put some duct tape over it it will be ok because they are only worried about sharp edges. I have a friend that has a Toyota Hilux was in a similar state to this a few years ago (he has fixed it up a bit since) and that was fully legal and everything worked.
  19. Well, if it has an engine then it must be more detailed than the promo. I got a promo of the 94 and it has an all-molded-in chassis, metalaxels, snapped-in-place taillights, no engine (bonnet is molded shut) and snapped-in-place mirrors that seem to be made of rubber. It also has a singlepiece grille with molded in headlamps. Got stickers instead of decals for emblems.
  20. Ahhh...I'm sorry I must be blind. I saw your post but did not make the connection that these was the same kits that I posted On another note, is it the same as with the 32 Fords that there is no 1:25 kit aviable that can be built totally stock?
  21. Ahh...so that's the connection I had a feeiling that the Ertl company was close the Scale Models diescat kits I got as I recognize the townname from so many other kitboxes.
  22. Great to see one of these built! I got the same kit myself, never started it but thought about it many times. I made a suggestion on the Revell Share your dream site for a reissue of this kit: http://ideas.revell.de/ideas/item/5257/ Not sure if Revell owns molds for it or not but they have reissued several of the old esci kits before so maybe they do. Your project looks really good, I like it a lot
  23. I think that the reason for making Norwegian versions was to have a better appeal to the home market. The actors where all well-known for the people and with the action taking place mostly in Oslo it would be familiar to many. Here in Norway we also have a restaurant chain named after Egon Olsen: http://www.egon.no/ The first one was started in Oslo in 1984 and Arve Opsahl (who played Egon in the movies) was at the opeing dressed in the familar clothing of Egon. http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egon_%28restaurantkjede%29
  24. Looks like they have been issued by a company called Gabriel before that and from the pics of the woody version on ebay it looks like they come from hubley
  25. I don't see anyone having posted this before: This is 1:20 and die-cast parts. There is several of them in the series (you can see them on the side of the box). I don't have the Model A kit myself but do have the Model T kits (depot hack, sport runabout, delivery van and touring) and in one of the kits there is a flyer that lists all of the Scale Models (with address in Dyersville, Iwoa) kits and the model A kits that are listed are as follows: Town Sedan (four door sedan), Roadster, Coupe (looks like a 5-window coupe) Station Wagon (similar to the AMT woody), pickup, phaeton and the Victoria as pictured above in taxi livery (would they really use the Victoria as a taxi??). Now, as I don't have any of the model A kits, I don't know about the quality but the model T kits look decent but I think there is a lot of work to build them. The basic body, chassis, engine, drivetrain and suspension is diecast metal but things such as wheels, headlights, radioator and seats are in injection molded styrene and the tires are in rubber.
