  1. Vinyl tops on large cars. I even like the "SimCon" style on some '70s and '80s full size 2 door luxury cars like the Caddy Phaetons and some Continentals.
  2. Not exactly my favorite as I have no favorite but,, Just to be random, anyone else remember this "Doctor's" Buick Electra? 😁😉
  3. Combo for sure and a popular kit bash back then. Easy to do if you have all the kits. '88-'90 longbox for the chassis. Also gives the poseable steering engine and underhood detail parts. Extended cab snap fast plus for the cab and interior. and the stepside for the bed. Everything was designed to interchange and fits perfectly. The hood is even separate and the engine bay molding is pretty well the same as the glue kits so all the parts from both the regular or SS454 kits fit . BTW, you could just shorten the snap chassis but it has the engine underside molded into it same as the promo chassis.
  4. That's what I always use. I've even used it to glue together painted pickup boxes with no problems.
  5. As long as they're not computer generated.🙄 [are we in trouble yet?]
  6. Gives a whole new meaning to the term "little people" [or is that totally in bad taste and "non-PC"]😕
  7. it'd be interesting for someone to measure the width of a real one to see which is actually closer. One of my uncles has a longbed '86[ish] I've been thinking about buying from him and I'd measure it but it's 35 miles away and I don't get down that way much.
  8. Thanks for checking Rob. This limits the kitbashing ability between it and the other kits already on the market. Knocks it much lower on my want list.
  9. I uses to use HOK a lot. Always just thinned it with cheap lacquer thinner.
  10. Rob, do you have one of the oft reissued Monogram /Revell 1/24 square bodies to compare the overall width of the bodies to? I have a hunch that's closer to their 1/24 kits then that AMT kit.
  11. Lots of famous people in music who built car models too such as Randy Meisner and the Van Halen brothers.
  12. I'll also be keeping an eye on your progress. These are my favorite generation T-bird, I've built two so far but don't have a '67. It's my favorite of the 3 grills though. I think I'll find a different chassis next time though. I find those ones, especially when they've been glue-bombed to be more trouble then they're worth.
  13. Got the frame pretty well ready for paint. Smoothed it out pretty good, made a tubular tranny crossmember and relived some area on the inside of the frame for header clearance. Also did a mold and cast a 4L-60 transmission copied from the Revell '99 Chevy pickup kit.
  14. Yea. full crotch shot photo [probably photoshop] mixed in with ads for models up for bid on the site. I did inform the mod on the site here at the moment though. I know how touchy they are here about even mild expletives so I'm thinking they might want to know about it.
  15. I know that MCM isn't responsible for the ads but this is kinda out there seeing as they don't even allow mild expletives. I doubt her gynecologist even gets that view.
  16. That's definitely the AMT 1/25 kit.
  17. Tom Cruise playing Jack Reacher is like Danny DeVito playing a T-800 terminator. 🤣
  18. Could you make it fit by sliding the engine back a bit? Of course you would need to notch the firewall more too but I think it would be worth it. Don't compromise your vision.👍
