  1. I vote you send that Peirce Arrow up to me, Scott. I know what to do with that. ๐Ÿ˜ But seriously, Easiest way to post a pic is to just right klik on the pic, klik on "copy image" and past in the message box. Super easy.
  2. Plus, for those lovers of animation among us, here's a link to the most comprehensive site I've found on the subject. http://www.toonopedia.com/
  3. Anyone else remember Motormouse and Autocat? Couldn't find it on YouTube but there's a couple on Daily Motion https://www.dailymotion.com/search/Motormouse %26 Autocat/videos I also remember Underdog from before I started school. and Superchicken. I think that "secret sauce" was just a martini.
  4. Come on guys, why would Revell parts be in an AMT kit? ๐Ÿคจ They're from the Ramchargers dragster. Some others used the same parts, IIRC. PIC from the bottom of the Ramchargers box,,
  5. Well , I wouldn't exactly say nobody Tom.๐Ÿ˜‰
  6. Just posted this up on another board for 4-30 day and thought since I have the pics out some here would like to see it. This is how I wanted my 1/1 to look but when you're 19 you don't have the skills and/or funds to pull it off. , , and one of the few pics of the actual article. I did at least get it painted the color I wanted it back then and had SOOoo much fun just crusin' around in it.
  7. Probably thought he'd get a lot of people telling him how right he is and was stung by all the replies not agreeing with him.
  8. Pretty sweet ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ I started one myself decades ago. Cut the roof off and added the custom quad headlights from an old AMT '57 Ford kit but that's as far as I got. Love your colors and the skirts.
  9. Wow, that's taken wildly out of context. You make it look like Mike said the Scout was a "Bronco has-been" or that he said they copied the Bronco or whatever. He didn't say anything even remotely like that. Here's exactly his post for those interested without looking for it. , , "I think a kit of the first gen Scout would be a great seller, maybe in resin as I don't know if it would be as popular as the Revell first gen Bronco has been, but one can dream!" , ,
  10. I have models here from at least 1/2 a dozen friends and relatives who are no longer with us. I don't want any more.
  11. Nice clean build. If it was a solid, non-metallic paint. it's be pretty close to the color my 1/1 '69 was when I bought it. Wish the people doing the box art had got the front lights right though, seeing them painted amber is so wrong. ๐Ÿ˜”
  12. I don't know of anywhere but here's a site with loads of pics of rattan. You could pick one and print it off in a suitable size on decal paper. I've done that before to make plaid seat insert decals. https://www.gettyimages.ca/photos/rattan?phrase=rattan&sort=mostpopular
  13. Yea, It's the one I was thinking of. I'm pretty good on remembering cars, but names, not so much. LOL The '65/'66 ones I was thinking of are the Revology Cars reproductions. Got them jumbled together and was thinking one company did both.

    58 Buick

    Sweet !!! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  15. That looks fantastic Roger. Reminds me of something Boyd could have built back in the day. [that's meant as a compliment. LOL]
  16. I think it looks pretty good as is ,, if you don't mind the color. The back bumper from the newer, more detailed '62 kit will fit perfectly, like it was made for it. But the tail lights are slightly different between the '61 and '62. [BTW, the front bumper is a pretty good fit too. Just a touch wide but not really much more than the original kit part. I doubt anyone would tell the difference.]
  17. Yea, you win, we don't know what it is. I think you could post a full pic of the thing and we still wouldn't know. Some obscure outfit re-bodying newer Mustangs with older skins.
  18. They did sell the hatchbacks Gregg, but only about 2000 were built. I've never seen one and when the "Twister Vega" kit came out I thought it was just something MPC made up.
  19. I've seen this before. If it's what I think it is, it's by a modern car builder and available now, also as a convertible and in '65/'66 versions. Custom made one at a time ,,, and extremely expensive. BUT, darned if I can remember the name of the builder.
  20. Hey, no worries John, don't take it personally. Scalemates has become something of a running joke around here lately. ๐Ÿ˜‰ As for a more accurate reference. Just ask here. There's loads of people on this site that have forgotten more about car kits and cars in general than just about any other site you could name.
  21. Nice save Rick. Back in the early '80s, "Twilight Zone Magazine" ran an interview with Meredith. In it he said that he didn't smoke at the time and the unique "Penguin cackle" was him trying to stay in character while trying to cover the coughing on the cigarette smoke. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  22. IIRC, it snowed a lot in California in the '80s. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  23. Getting your car kit info from them is like getting your news from The National Enquirer. Some may be true but there's as much BS as fact and a wealth of exclusion and plain everyday mistakes.
  24. Those newer Impala kits are 1/25 anyway, not 1/24. ,, and any engine in a 442 is an actual Olds, not Chevy. I really can't think of any well detailed SBC engines in 1/24 that haven't been mentioned already. I'd just pick one and go with it. It's mostly hidden in a Vette anyway. But, there's no reason you can't use the Olds accessory belts on a Chevy engine with a little tweaking.
