  1. Those slotted mags everyone is going nuts about ,, aren't they exactly the same ones in the "Early Iron" series '36, '32, 34 Fords, and last seen in the '29 roadster pickup in the '90s? ,, Oh, and the Tom Daniels Street Vette? I've never had the kit so I don't have one to compare. Nice wheels but they don't seem to be that hard to come by. Maybe you should get some in latex, Casey?
  2. close up of the wheels,,,
  3. Can I play too? ?
  4. We used to use hot water heater skins for patching floors. Heavy gage and well coated so it didn't rust out fast.
  5. The Sweet Tee has the 6 spoke wheels like in the "Dragon Wagon" ,,aka "Circus Wagon". [could have sworn I had posted this last night. ?]
  6. Hey, one of the more popular car model guys on Youtube has a video about JoHan car kits. First image you see in the video is this pic I took of one of my best flea market scores. Imagine my surprise at seeing that ! ?
  7. I've wanted one of these for quite a while but I knew I'd probably be bidding against you Snake. ? BUT, if anyone has an AMT '70 Mustang that needs some TLC they would part with, let me know. , , even if it's missing the interior and chassis.
  8. Monogram "Son of Ford" '32 reissue too.
  9. It would be a huge pedal car. At 1/43, it would be over 1/2 the size of a 1/25 car. Somewhere over 7 and 1/2 feet in real life Something like this,,
  10. That MIG stuff looks like just regular heating duct foil tape to me.
  11. AKA Rader "Stars". Seems they were only available for a few years in the '60s.
  12. I think what Mark's saying is, The hardtop kit has the top as a separate piece, just like the Mustang BUT, the convertible was issued at the same time and it had that tonneau was in that kit instead of the roof peice.
  13. In this article about 1/2 way down Winfield says he only made about 20 sets of Tera-Thrusts. https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/defining-hot-rod-and-custom-car-legacy-wheels-part-3/
  14. I always felt there was too much curve down to the front of the hood. Unfortunately, I no longer have access to this one for measurements. My uncle who owned it is palliative care and the car is sold and shipped off to Sweden now. ?
  15. Get the MPC grille with the separate bumper if you can. The AMT part doesn't have the outer trim the 1/1 has so it doesn't look quite right. Easiest way to tell the AMT from MPC is the AMT has the bumper attached and it's separate on the MPC. And be careful of ones that have separate headlight lenses, they originally came on the Blazer kits and are a touch too wide for the pickup cabs.
  16. Was that changing a lower control arm on a Toyota, Bill? Yea, I seen that one and I don't usually watch this type of video
  17. This car has been across the country, from the Pacific to the Atlantic. My grandfather bought it in Courtney BC in '73 and it's still in the family. My uncle Steve has it right now. I had it for a while but when my Aunt passed he asked for it back for something to work on to keep him busy and his mind off other things. So, yea. it's been from Vancouver Island to Cape Breton Island and after a long rest should be back on the road in the spring.
  18. It was reissued in 2009 under the Revell brand as the "30 Ford Touring street rod" Should still be pretty easy to find.
  19. One of the best candy apple red paint jobs I've seen in a long time.
  20. IIRC, that Jimmy kit had a lot of the stuff shown in this ad.
  21. Why not just go to a nail salon and see if they'll sell you a partial roll to try out?
  22. Forget the Blazer , where the GMC Jimmy? I bet a few builders would like to get a set of those fender flares and a Hickey hood.
  23. I think you got that completely correct Casey. Being a house painter and staircase finisher I deal with a lot of contractors. I can't think of any I know that don't drive a double cab short box 4X4. The ones that regularly need to carry stuff have enclosed trailers that almost never get unhooked from the truck.
  24. You mean the way they fudged the roof on the '90 Mustang coupe or Moebius fudging the headlight bezels on the '68/'69 Ford pickups? Right, the villagers would be storming the castle with torches and pitch forks if it wasn't %100 correct.
