  1. Well, that will give me some incentive to replace them! Thanks, guys!
  2. These wheels were in AMT 71 Dodge Charger Pro Street... Please identify them by type... thanks!
  3. No... the stuff I've received from Evergreen, etc., has always arrived with some scratches on the surface, and that was covered by a baggie!
  4. Yes, I'm sure it did - I guess it's just the light reflecting off every contour!
  5. Actually, it's 3-tone! Paul, that blue actually looks like it's been swirled on - what paint is it?
  6. I can get Lexan in .010 sheets - that's as thin as acetate or styrene. But how do you get around installing it without it looking like it's been attached BEHIND the frame instead of "into" the frame?
  7. Clear acetate and styrene are so easily damaged... and Lexan can be purchased in flat sheets! The main problem is placing them behind the frames... just don't look real to me...
  8. I know Flintstone sells a chopped body, but no glass... Does anyone sell a chopped body that supplies the new glass needed for the new window sizes? I have the Revell kit, but obviously if I replace the body with a chopped version, the original glass will be of no use to me... And please, don't tell me how easy it'd be to cut new windows out of clear lexan - I know all about that option - just want something better...
  9. Just tried the "advanced loader" in Google Chrome - worked perfectly - still does not work in Firefox... BTW, I'm not sure that "free" photo accounts are really free... I've heard that some of them are real sneaky - compressing the heck out of your files if they're deemed too large, which could very easily ruin them. Is anything really "free" anymore?
  10. Does that also apply to The Gallery, where it plainly states "unlimited space"?
  11. How does it build without kitbashing?
  12. I am considering this kit, for the option of building it stock, as in this photo... Is there anything that I should know about building it stock?
  13. The Americana line is "craft paint", and the finishes should no doubt only be used over their paints. I have doubts that you'd be happy using this stuff on a fine lacquer paint like Testors or Tamiya. I've never seen a craft-type acrylic that could actually produce a real gloss, let alone a deep one... Even Alclad's Aqua Gloss doesn't really produce a deep, glossy shine, and as far as I know, there is no way to truly "polish" an acrylic finish, to get a deeper shine, without damaging the product in the process.
  14. RELATED OPINION Personally, I don't believe that a black backer is all that necessary, and certainly does NOT make the chrome look... chromier... It may help smooth the surface a bit, but let's face it... If you did a poor job of smoothing your surface, ain't nothin's gonna make up fer it! It's only important if you're working on the INSIDE of a lexan body - then, you need a backer to really give the chrome some pop, but in this example, the visible side of the chrome never actually touches the black - it's truly a... "backer"!
  15. Yeah, that's exactly why I'm interested in Xtreme Chrome - didn't have any real repeatable success with either Alclad or Ultimate Chrome (Spaz Stix). So, hopefully someone has tried Xtreme Chrome and can report...
  16. I have been using Firefox for years, and as I mentioned in my post, Firefox did not cure my "advanced" upload bugs...
  17. I just checked my "gallery" and I'm using 4.8mb of "unlimited" space - won't have to delete anything here. Also, how do you delete content here? You can't even delete an "album" in the gallery!
  18. I have the same problem with "advanced" but basic works fine if you upload each file by itself - I know it's a hassle, but it's better than trying to set up an external account! I have the same problem with "advanced" and I'm using Firefox!
  19. Beautiful build! Your radiator needs a wash of black to set it apart from the excellent chrome surround... just a suggestion...
  20. Love those tires!
  21. I hope mine turns out half as good! Nice job!
  22. Would you say the percentage of flawed kits was high or low?
  23. Oh yes I have, and it may be a better chrome than Alclad, but I was simply stating a perception... And why the heck are you going off-topic?! You want to sing the praises of Ultimate Chrome... START YOUR OWN THREAD!
