  1. Those wheels worked for on the Chevy/GMC trucks though
  2. Almost a direct fit. Modified 66 Galaxie frame fits also.
  3. I bet the rectangular lights from the 66 Thunderbird would fit decently. Luckily, I have a few of these and a dozen or so resin copies of the 70 Torino Cobra shaker assembly. Maybe I'll top off a Boss 429 with one
  4. The air cleaner is steel and painted argent silver from the factory, as is the front valance. Looking good
  5. 4 year old Dodge with no rust holes? Amazing! Nice job!!!!
  6. That thing looks awesome...
  7. Looks great.... Not correct color.... LOL. Who cares!
  8. Ron, it just gets frustrating with NEW kits when these things are done wrong. As I have said before, a few of my most anticipated kits needed major corrections. One I gave up on and pitched. Chuck, thanks for the rear body panel pic. That would be correct for the car. The Base Torino and Brougham were different. The base car did not have trim in the center connecting the tail lights, and the Brougham had a reflective center panel. Pics are Base, Brougham, and Gran models. Hopefully being multiple pieces does not make the trim look to thick/wide. By leaving the entire rear panel open, it does leave the option for future kits from the base mold. (Elite/Cougar/Montego) But I highly doubt it.
  9. It is okay, Interesting they made the body panel piece separate. That is good, makes things a bit easier.
  10. Chuck, that primered car pic was a total stroke of luck. That's why I converted your pic to B&W for comparison. I already marked up some B&W copies of your pics for my initial reference IF I buy this. I may share..... sometime. The side window openings are a major issue in my eyes. I'd like to see how they did the tail light panel. If one piece chrome, I see stripping, painting and foil. Dave, that 72 looks great. If next to this out of the box, the flaws would really jump at you.
  11. Thank you Chuck, That is what I was afraid of, the fit being pretty tight. Yes, the rocker area on the S&H needs rolled under quite a bit more. I am thinking on scribbing the inside of the body behind the lower beltline then moving the area in. Then comes the chassis fitment. Like a few other recent kits, the body is cast to flat. Here is reference to see the 1:1 rolls in quite a bit, even the rear quarter (With Chucks photo for comparison)
  12. Looking really nice. I really like the gold. Old school kit that goes together nicely and looks good when finished.
  13. The headlight bezels look better and more of the correct shape than originally thought. This is good. Been looking at the pics in black and white figuring ways to tweak the body into shape. Right now the frame and floor are what I am wondering about. How tight is the fit at the rocker panel area? A
  14. I might, I just might.
  15. I am thinking of the box art build also.... Pearl white base, red interior maybe not all the decals. I'd put the roof decal on the hood.
  16. The Johan Torino stocker has an excellent stock chassis, but you need the floor. If they do a Thunderbird, I would hope it is better than this. Yes, it resembles a Torino, but needs a bunch of work still. Personally, rather disappointed. If I build this, I will document the build and corrections.
  17. Cool... I'll give it a shot. Don't have much luck with the search box usually
  18. Great idea TooOld... Take me awhile to inventory them....
  19. Ohhh my... that's a lot of scanning! HAHAHAHA
  20. I keep thinking of tossing, bet there are ones back to the 60's in the box
  21. Ever since I saw the video, I been prepping parts. Had some bumpers I wanted to remove guards from and such. I am going to give them a shot. $10 seems high for shipping tho, but if service is good and fast, I'm good with it
  22. I have 2 kit boxes stuffed with instructions. Keep thinking of pitching them, but then don't. What does everyone do with theirs?
  23. What is the best way to avoid ghosting? I just looked at a painted kit that needs to be finished and I see where I filled 2 holes and where the hood cut out should be. Little disgusted since it is foiled and ready for assembly
  24. Very cool. Pretty darn nice for a 1/32! I'd like to have more Mercs in 1/25 scale too!
  25. if I knew that then, I'd have forked over a few bucks on the more pricey kits. I know when the Kings Comet and Falcons came out, I bought a load of them both!
